Today I've got for you a special long chapter, which became so completely unexpectedly. but hey, what can one do? So I hope you all enjoy this story and tell me what you think about it!]

Teresa found herself crawling through the hole in the fence, and finding herself on the edge of an evergreen forest. Behind her, she could hear the noises of a falling safe-zone, the Zombies, the screaming people, the gunfire and the explosions, but she willed herself not to look back. Instead, she focused on going forward, plunging into the woods.

Teresa walked through the threes, her legs crunching on twigs and small pieces of wood which caked the ground completely. Occasionally, she heard the groans of a Zombie, but none came close. Her injured leg was on fire, but the adrenaline coursing through her body enabled her to keep going. She could feel the cold breeze on her leg where her jeans had been slit to her thigh to treat the bullet wound. That, accompanied by her tattered T-shirt made her decide to find new clothes as soon as humanely possible.

GRRRRRAH!
Teresa heard the Zombie before she saw it, and crouched behind a large bush. The Zombie was of a female soldier, most likely from the safe-zone. Half of her face had been bitten off and bits of flesh hung limply from what was left of her face. She wore standard army fatigues and a brown bullet-resistant vest, with brown hiking boots. The Zombie also had a construction shovel strapped to her back and helmet on, which would make killing it more difficult, but Teresa was determined to take down this Zombie. Its clothes looked to be around her size, and having a bullet-resistant vest and a shovel was a deal too sweet to miss.

Teresa slowly snuck up on the Zombie as it trudged through the forest. Once she was behind it, she brought out her knife and pounced.

Teresa pushed the helmet and plunged her knife into the back of the Zombie's head! She could feel some resistance from the Zombie's skin and skull, so she applied more force until the Zombie went limp.

On closer inspection, Teresa found out that the hiker shoes the Zombie wore were laced with flint-laces, which would be a life-saver as a means to start a fire. The Zombie hadn't died too long ago, probably in the attack on Fort Fitzgerald, so the clothes it wore were fresh too. Teresa was apprehensive about taking an Undead's clothes, but since they weren't too old, she decided to take the risk.

Teresa kneeled down and began to take off the Zombie's bullet-resistant vest.

  PART#2: SURVIVAL

Teresa pulled herself into the army fatigues after checking the bandages on her leg. They were still clean, so she had decided not to change them. The new clothes fit her well, though the plants were a bit too long, and she had taken her knife to them to cut them to size. She out on the bullet-resistant vest and used a piece of cloth torn off her old t-shirt as a bandana to tie her hair back. She put on her bag, Took the shovel the Zombie had as well, and limped away into the forest.

Teresa kept walking along at a brisk pace as the sun slowly came up in the sky. The air was cool and the trees cast welcome shadows all over the forest floor. As Teresa walked, her mind began to play catch-up with the events that had just transpired. She had lost her brother and her parents, she was in a country alien to her with few supplies and absolutely no idea where to go or what to do.
