Jace's POV
We all sat down at the lunch table, watching Taylor argue with the group of girls.
"I suggest you stay away from these boys cuz they're mine. Got it?" woah, this chick was really crazy if she thought we were hers. But Taylor didn't seem affected, she just burst out laughing.
"look I don't know who you are" Taylor said standing up. "but I'm not leaving these boys here to suffer your plastic torture."
"they are not your boys, they belong to everyone." I almost scoffed at this. We didn't belong to anyone.
"well that's the thing" Taylor argued back. "my boys aren't man-whores, and even a man-whore wouldn't want someone like you. They'd have to keep you on a leash."
"listen here you filthy piece of crap" the girl moved closer to Taylor, trying to look intimidating, but I knew Taylor wasn't affected by it. "you may be new and all, but that doesn't mean you can take these boys whenever you want. I mean didn't your mother ever teach you it was wrong for a girl to be staying with so many boys on her own. Probably not because she was doing the same thing every night.
I could feel Aiden tense up beside me, and I saw Taylor slightly shaking. She pulled her gun from the waistband of her jeans and pointed it at the girl, who had a look of fear in her eyes.
"you can say what you want about me, but when it comes to family you're as good as dead" Taylor threatened in a low voice. The girl tried covering up the fear, but failed.
"why? Mommy can't look after herself?" I knew the girl was pushing it by the way Taylor was shaking. "Probably too wasted to even think straight." Taylor pressed down on the trigger of the gun, and a bullet went through the girls arm.
Taylor didn't stay to watch and ran away from the cafeteria. Me and the rest of the boys ran after her to the house, but by the time we got there, she was gone. We split up and decided to look around the neighborhood.
It was pretty late when we all came back to the house, and still no sign of Taylor. We sat down on the sofas in the living room, all of us in our own thoughts. After a while, we decided to head to bed. We knew Taylor would come back soon.
I slipped under the covers, when I suddenly shot out of bed. I put a shirt on and my shoes, and jumped out of my window and ran into the forest. I carried on running until I got to the lake.
Taylor was sat against a tree stump, looking into the distance and playing with the grass. I walked up to her and sat down beside her, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. She leaned into me and put her head on my shoulde, and I took on her amazing strawberry vanilla and honey scent. I could feel her shaking, and I knew she was crying.
After a while, her tears stopped, but she didn't push me away, which I was happy with.
"thanks Jace" she said pulling away from me, taking all her warmth with her."sorry about crying all over you" She looked down at the ground and I lifted her chin up with my finger so her gaze met mine.
"hey" I said softly. "you don't need to apologize for anything. I'll always be here for you." she smiled softly at me, and she laid her head back down on my shoulder. we stayed like that for a couple of hours, before i stood up and stretched my hand out to her.
"come on, lets get back home." she took my hand and stood up. we walked back home in silence. it wasn't an awkward silence, more of a comfortable one. when we got to her room, i wrapped her in a hug and she laid her head on my chest.
"good night." i said, kissing the top of her head.
"night" she replied and i let go of her and walked to my own room. i stripped out of my clothes and put on a pair of pajama pants and slipped under the covers.
Taylor's POV
i woke up to a massive headache from crying all night. i smiled at the thought of Jace coming to the woods looking for me, and staying with me. I made my way over to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. my eyes were all red and puffy, and my hair was a mess.
I stripped out of my clothes and hopped into the shower, making sure the water was reall hot. when I was done, I went into my bedroom and got changed into a pair of grey baggy sweatpants and a purple hoodie. There was no point in getting ready for school because i knew that i was probably suspended for two weeks for shooting the damn barbie in the arm.
i made my way into the kitchen and none of the boys were there, so i'm guessing they were alreafy in school. Itook some Tylenol for the headache and I made myself some breakfast and took it into the living room, and plopped down on one of the sofas.
i turned the tv onto Spongebob Squarepants, man i love this show. Might as well get used to staying on my own for two weeks.
