Chapter 39

Taylor's POV

"Taylor, can you get the door?" Jace shouted from upstairs. I closed the fridge and opened the door, to see Aiden and Demi stood there with a lot of bags in their hands.

"is there something wrong with you guys just using your key?" I asked them when they came in.

"yes there is actually" Aiden replied. "as you can see, our hands are full. He dropped the bags onto the floor and slumped on the sofa.

"so, how was your shopping?" I asked Demi.

"it was amazing. We got so many cute outfits and some things for the baby to play with and it's own bed."

"you do know that it won't be able to sleep on it straight after it's been born yet right?" I asked her.

"oh yeah we know. It's gonna sleep with us." she said rubbing her stomach. Yes, Demi and Aiden got engaged after graduation and were having a baby.

"where's Jace?" Aiden asked.

"he's sorting out some pack business." Jace became alpha when his father stepped won because he thought that he was getting too old, and Jace was becoming responsible enough to take on the role.

"we got pizza!" all the guys came rushing in through the front door with pizza boxes in their hands.

"all of you went to just go get some pizza?" Aiden asked them, and they all nodded and sat down to eat.

"where's Jess?" Demi asked. "she's not here yet."

"yes I am." Demi jumped and turned to face Jess who was wrapped up in Eric's arms. Jess had realized that Eric was her mate not long after prom. She said she felt something with him when they were dancing together. I thought she was good for him. She could help him grow up a bit.

"hey." Jace wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and kissed me on the cheek.

"hey, you alright?" I asked him.

"yeah. It was just some bills and I got it sorted.

"good, now come eat man this pizza is delicious." Jace chuckled and we both sat down to eat.

A lot had actually changed after prom. Jace became alpha of his pack, making me their alpha female, which was alright since I got along with them all. Jace's parents had offered him the pack house to stay in, and they'd get a new place, but Jace said he didn't want to move into the pack house. His parents still lived there and so did the people that lived there before. Instead, Jace, Eric and Drake said that they'd stay at our place.

No one else had moved out either. They all said that we've been living together for such a long time, that we were our own little family, and no one wanted to leave. So everyone still lives here, but we sometimes do our own thing.

"alright, well you lot sit here, we're going out tonight." Ben said standing up and going upstairs. The rest of the guys followed him along with Jess and Demi.

"you coming?" Jace asked me when everyone else had gone up.

"sure." I went up to my room and changed into suitable clothes for a club. When I was done, I went back down and found all the guys ready.

"where are Demi and Jess?" I asked them.

"they're still getting ready." we had to wait for another couple of minutes before they came down and we set off to the club.

We parked our cars outside the club and we could hear the music from across the street. The guy at the door let us in when he saw us. We were still the most powerful gangs and nothing was changing that.
