Taylor's POV
"oh my god, Jace" I said flinging my arms around his neck, but he pushed me away.
"don't ever touch me again." he spat at me, his eyes cold and empty.
"why."
"why? Look at me. I wouldn't be paralyzed if it wasn't for you. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have had to look everywhere for you, and lose out on sleep. If it wasn't for you I could just live my life the way it normally was. But I can't. Because you were playing the damsel in distress, you wanted someone to save you. And because of that, I can't even move the lower half of my body. Because of you my pack looked down on me, picked a new leader and kicked me out." he was shouting by the end, and I tried really hard not to let the tears fall over.
"you don't mean that." I said quietly, my voice cracking.
"yes I do. And I also mean this. Your dad should have killed you that day. He should've just finished you so we wouldn't have to look at you any more. It would make everyone's lives easier." at that, I couldn't keep the tears in any more, and they rolled down my cheeks one after the other.
Jace stalked towards me, and I walked backwards, stopping when my back hit the wall. I looked at Jace and he had a glint in his eyes and a smirk on his face.
"what you doing?" I asked, my voice still cracking.
"what should have been done before." was all he said before his hands landed on my throat. They tightened and I screamed as I felt all the life leave me.
"nooooo" I shouted, sitting up straight. I lay back down and wiped the sweat off my forehead. I knew there was no point in going to sleep now, I won't be able to. It was the same every night. Ever since I left the hospital four weeks ago I always got nightmares about Jace. Some of him killing me, him being killed, him never waking up again, him leaving me or anyone else I knew and lived with blaming me for everything that happened. And the more I had them, the more I was beginning to believe them.
"Taylor, you alright?" Aiden asked softly from the door. He came in and closed the door behind him, sitting on the edge of my bed.
"no I'm not Aiden. Jace is in hospital because of me. He might not ever wake up because of me. And if he does, he'll never want to see me again. He'll probably kill me or leave me because he's better off without me." I sobbed into my hands. He pulled me onto his lap and held me while I cried. When I finally stopped, he held me tight and stroked my hair.
"Taylor none of that's ever gonna happen. Jace isn't in the hospital because of you. It's because of that lousy excuse of a father. Jace will wake up because he's strong and he'll have too many people that'll miss him in their lives. And when he does wake up you'll be the first person he'll want to see. He'll never leave you, and he'll never hurt you. I know he's never said anything about it before, but I've seen the way he looks at you. And the way he fought for you, anyone can see that he cares for you. A lot. You just have to ignore these nightmares because they'll never come true. The things you dream of will."
I don't know when I fell asleep, but when I woke up, I was still in Aiden's lap. I yawned and stretched, waking him up too.
"what we doin today?" I asked him, standing up.
"we're gonna help you relax. Get your mind off everything." he said stretching then he walked out to get changed. When he was gone, I went into the shower, and made sure the temperature was really hot. It always helped me relax after the dreams.
When I got out, I dried myself off and changed into a pair of blue underpants and a black bra. I slipped into a pair of black faded skinny jeans and a green button up top that came up to the elbows and had designs on the pockets on each side. I blow dried my hair and got into a pair of vans and headed downstairs.
