Rain

I woke up to a surprise. Aspen was up playing with Velvet and Cake.
"I knew he would make a great dad." I thought to myself. I got up and walked over to them. Velvet and Cake ran over to me and gave me a big morning hug.
"Good morning Mom!" They said.
"Morning my babies." I replied.
"We've been playing with Dad!" They said.
"I see that!" I said. Then they trotted off and started playing with each other. I walked over to Aspen and we nuzzled each other.
"I knew you would be a great dad." I told him.
"And I knew you would be a great mom." He replied. We watched the foals play and waited for Spirit, Rain, and Blossom to wake up. When they woke up, Velvet, Cake, and Blossom galloped off to play while Spirit and Aspen talked and me and Rain watched the foals.
"You're such a great mom Mist." Rain said. "You've done so good with Velvet and Cake. I can only hope to be as good a mom to Blossom."
"You'll be a great mom Rain." I told her. "Blossom even looks like your baby."
"I know I know." She said. "It's just."
"It's just what?" I asked.
"I'm expecting a foal ." She said in a whispered voice.
"You are, congratulations Rain!" I said happily.
"It's just I haven't told Spirit yet and I don't know how he'll handle the thought of having two foals." She said.
"Hey don't think like that!" I said. "He'll love the foal no matter what."
"I hope so." She said. Then our little babies walked over to us.
"Hi Mommy!" Cake says.
"Hello my little babies." I said. "Did you have fun playing with Blossom?"
"Ya we did." Replied Velvet.
"We're about to leave so go dip in the creek real quick you're all sweaty." I said.
"Yes MaMa!" They said and galloped to the creek.
"Can I go too MaMa?" Asked Blossom.
"Yes baby you can go." Said Rain.
"Hey girls wait up!" Blossom shouted. Our little babies, just so cute.
