It only took me an hour and half to ride from the Sanctuary to Ivarstead. I had take the shortcut by Helgen and through a mountain pass to get there and then, because it was raining, most of the villagers were inside, aside from Narfi. Nobody saw me drive a dagger into him. Then I rode off from Ivarstead, down a small pathway that took me down the dangerously steep mountainside to the hot springs of Eastmarch.
Killing Ennodius wasn't a problem at all. He didn't see the arrow coming. The only problem I was facing now was the fact that it was getting late...and my parents would be getting suspicious.
"Come on, friend, let's go back home," I pat the horse and I mount her. The ride back home shouldn't take too long. Only a few hours, meaning I should get back just in time for dinner. How perfect.
When I finally arrive, there's chaos in Jorrvaskr with Njada throwing ale and glass bottles at Athis.
"Where in Oblivion have you been, Maryse!?" mother yells at me over the commotion.
"Out," I shrug. "Clearing my mind,"
"That's bullshit!" Lucia declares.
Her sudden cursing makes even Njada stop shouting. "Lucia, go home," mother says sharply. "Don't use that language again,"
"But I-"
"End of discussion," mother says firmly. Then she turns back to me. "As for you-"
"Mother," I roll my eyes. "When you were my age you went all over Skyrim! Why can't I do the same?"
"Go walk home with Lucia," mother snaps. "We'll talk about this in the morning,"

"I don't see what the problem is," I argue. "When you were my age you went all over Skyrim,"
"That's because I had to. I had to train to kill Alduin. I had to make a living," mother says. "You don't. You don't have to work hard,"
Me and mother have been going back and forth in circles in our argument for about an hour the next morning, getting nowhere.
"But I want to!" I exclaim. "I want to see Skyrim!"
"Maryse," father says gently. "You were kidnapped by vampires. Anything could have happened to you...you're our daughter, we just want to keep you safe,"
"Our parents didn't care about us. Vilkas's were never around and Jergen left for the war. Mine...don't even get me started on my parents," mother explains. "We don't want to make the mistakes our parents made with us,"
I fight the urge to roll my eyes at them. "Look, I get you're concerned for my health and all but I can look after myself. I'm a good sneak, you know I'm a very good archer and that I can handle myself with daggers-"
"Could you fend off a bandit attack?" father interrupts me.
"I could outrun them," I reply. "Look. The vampire attack really damaged me..." time to play the victim role. "and being outside of Whiterun makes me feel so much better. I feel so trapped here,"
Mother sighs and looks at gather, who shrugs. "Alright Maryse. I understand. Just please be safe and be back before it gets dark. If you're out and it's still dark for the love of everything, don't camp out in the wilderness. Find the nearest village or town and sleep in an inn there,"
"Yes mother," I nod my head.
"Right...well, I'll see you around my girl," mother finished up and her and father leave Breezehome.
As soon as I hear the front door close I groan and mutter curses under my breath. Then I go to my drawer and pull out my map of Skyrim. I need to go to Dawnstar to take care of Beitild, but Dawnstar is a five hour ride from Whiterun. So it'll take me ten hours overall...I'll have to return to the Sanctuary tomorrow.
