"Check the second floor. I know there is one more in this family!" The voice of an unfamiliar man was echoing through her ears and the young girl looks around herself in fear. There where no way out, if she did not feel like dying if she tried to climb out of the window. Runing footsteps could be heard in the corridor, coming closer and closer to the young girls room. She takes one last look around herself before she stands against the vanity table. As the door to the room smashes open everything went dark.
Sarah bolts up in her bed and her breathing was uneven. She took a few deep breath as she tried to calm her racing heart and she leans forward, hugging her her legs that she had pulled up towards her body.
The memories of the night that had changed everything was still haunting her nights and she was starting to get tierd of it. It had after all been 10 years now.
After about ten minutes of just sitting in the dark room she starts to move out of the bed. She stretches her back before she takes up the crystal necklace that was laying on the bed table and puts it around her neck.
The crystal was a green crystal in haning to a simple golden necklace. As the crystal was haning right Sarah could feel the magic flow through her body and she smiles.
The necklace had been a gift from her friends 10 years ago and it works as a protection charm and a way to hide. After all, no one except her friends knew that the Labyrinth Champion had returned back to the Underground.
She had found herself a small house in the small town that belong to the Goblin Kingdom and she really liked it here. The Fea that lived in the town were all nice and welcoming and she could meet with her old friends from the Labyrinth when ever she wanted.
But she was making sure she keept away from the castle as much as she could. She really didn't want to know what the lands king would do to her if he found out she has been in his lands for 10 years.
Sarah could not help but to smile a little as she was thinking of the Goblin King. She had learned a lot about him this past 10 years and the vision she had of him when she run the Labyrinth when she was a teenager were gone from her memory.
Shaking her head Sarah heads towards the small kitchen only to find out that she didn't have anything to eat for the morning and she rolls her eyes at her own foolishness. "Well come on feet, let's find something to eat." She said to herself.
She waves a hand in front of herself and she changes out of her dress gown in to a simple forest green dress. The magic she had gotten from the crystal was something she really liked. She heads towards the front door and opens it up and heads outside.
The small town were already awake and moving and Sarah nods her head towards the Fea that she passes with a smile. But she could feel that there were something different in the air that day.
The Fea were always happy and smiling but there were a lot of whispers in the air to, something that did not often happen. Sarah looked around herself but she soon shaked her head, knowing that she would soon find out what they were all talking about.
She heads down to a small shop where she often found what she was looking for and the store owner, and old Fea woman was always so sweet towards her. As soon as Sarah opened up the door she could hear one of her first Fea friends call out to her.
"Marinette my sweet little owl!" Yurien was smilling big as she walked over to Sarah and hugged the girl. "Good morning Yurien." Sarah said. To everyone down here she was Marinette, a name she chose to keep everyone of her back on who she really is.
"You forgot to get food last night I see." Yurien said with a small laugh and Sarah could not help but to laugh to. "Sadly yes, I forgot about the time." She said and Yurien just shakes her head.
"Young Fea this days." She said and she heads behind the counter to get what Sarah usally got. "I'm sorry." Sarah said but Yurien just waved her hand and smiled. "So, have you heard the news?" Yurien asked and Sarah shaked her head.
"I could hear the rest of the town speaking in low voices but I could not hear what they were talking about." Sarah said and Yurien looks at her. "You really are oblivious on what happens around you." She said and Sarah smiled a little as she looked down.
"Maybe just a little." She said and Yurien laughed. "No worries, I'll tell you what is going on. Just like I always do." She then said and Sarah smiled. "That was something I was counting on." She said.
"Well, early this morning the King went out with an announcement that do to his parents constant complaning he is to get married in 4 month." Yurien said as she turns around to get something from one of the shelves missing how Sarah tensed up.
"He is going to get married?" Sarah repeated and she could feel how her heart sank. "Yes, to a Fea lady with the name of Leira. Apparently she is a woman his mother picked out." Yurien said and she turns around once more.
"But according to the people leaving near the Labyrinth itself are saying that the Labyrinth soule is not happy over this. Apparently she had already found a queen for the king. The one and only Champion." Yurien said with a sad smile.
"And we all know that the king love that girl. He was so heart broken when she left him after she won. But you know he did try to find her but rumors has it that the champion has dissappear form the Aboveground. No one has seen or heard anything from her in years." Yurien then adds and Sarah looks down.
"Yes, I remeber that." Sarah said. About half a year after she had returned to the Underground the king had realised she was gone and no madder what he did he could not find her.
Sarah was looking down on the necklace around her neck. The protection charm had worked very good, maybe just a bit to good now. "So what will happen now then?" Sarah asks after a few minutes of silence and she looks at Yurien.
Yurien let's out a sigh. "I don't know. The creatures of the Labyrinth and the goblins loves their champion. I myself think the Champion would be a good fit for this land. But I know some fea are happy that he is to marry one." Yurien said and Sarah nods her head and she could not help but to smile a little that her friend thinks she would have been a good fit.
"I think I should start to walk home once more. After all, I am getting hungry." She said with a smile and Yurien laughed a little and hands over the things to Sarah. "Go home and eat Marinette." She said and Sarah nods her head.
"I will. I'll see you soon again Yurien." Sarah said, waving her hand a little before she head out the shop. But instead of heading towards my house I headed towards the Labyrinth and to the home of one of my longest friend, Hoggle.
