Labyrinth: A Queen in hidding {On Hold}

A red book with haunted memories

Sarah was slowly walking through the house. Her hand was laying on the wall and she could almost hear everything that once had happened in this house. But the noises she do hear was was Luna and Didymus down stairs playing Scrabble and the rumbles from the kitchen where Yurien was fixing up some food.

She stopped outside the door leading in to the bedroom that used to belong to her father and stepmother and she could see the small crib where Toby used to sleep in. With a shake of her head she started to walk once more.

She soon ended up in front of her old room and she carefully opens up the door but she could not move in. Her room was a mess, all of her things was laying on the ground and the doors to her wardrobe was open and only a few of her old clothes was still hanging in there.

Her sacred space she had created had been destroyed. She falls down on her knees and was trying to keep her breathing under control. After a few deep breath she closes her eyes and raises up from the floor. Once she was standing up she opened up her eyes and created a crystal.

She knows that Yurien was going to be angry at her for using magic when she was still weak but Sarah didn't care at the moment. She let the crystal float in to the room and in the next second it was back to the way it was supposed to be.

With a smile Sarah enters the room and she looks everything over, just to make sure everything was in its right place. That her books was standing in the right order, her special order she created as young, she made sure her stuffed toys where sitting in the right order on the shelf.

She looks at the empty spot where Sir Lancelot was supposed to be and she smiles, thinking of the happy girl down stairs that always brings the bear with her where ever she goes. Sarah keeps her smile as she slowly sits down on her old bed but the smile was gone the moment her eyes landed on a red book that was laying on her bedstand.

Sarah reaches out and she carefully touches the cover before she picks up the old book. She slowly opens it up, a bit afraid that something might happen if she did. But when nothing happened she started to read the first pages but half way through the first page she was not even looking at the words.

The words where playing in her head, and she was the memories of her younger self running the Labyrinth. Now she knew just how much problem she had created, problems she didn't even know she had done. Problems she haven't even thought would turn out to become this big.

A knock on her door pulls Sarah out of her head and she looks up to see Melora standing in the door way. "I thought Yurien mad it clear that you are not allowed to use magic." Melora said and Sarah looks down a bit and she puts back the book on the night stand.

"Don't worry, if she asks I will tell her I cleaned up your room. Now come on, Yurien said dinner was ready." Melora said and she walked over to Sarah and she hold out her hand to her and Sarah takes it. A bit happy that Melora had not asked about the book.

Melora starts to lead Sarah down to the first floor and in to the dining room. Luna was already sitting in her spot waiting to start eating, she smiles up big when she sees Sarah and Melora enter the room. Melora leads Sarah over to the table and Sarah sits down beside Luna.

"Did you have a fun time together with Didymus?" Sarah asks as Melora sits down on the otherside of Sarah and she plays a little with Leo who was sitting in the baby chair. Luna nods her head and she smiles big. "I won over him 3 times." She said and Sarah laughed a little. "That is very good Luna." She said and Yurien walks in to the room with a tray of food.

"Good, we are all here now. Then we can start to eat." She said and Luna cheered to that making the three ladies laugh. Yurien puts down the tray on the table before she takes a seat. "Here we go, eat up." She said and Luna looks at Sarah a little and Sarah just shaked her head a little before she helpt the young girl with putting some food on her plate. 

The group eat in peace, listening to just how Luna had managed to win over Didymus and Sarah was a bit worried over a few of the words she had used, they were not words a girl in her age should know about. But then it hits Sarah, Luna and Leo did come from a broken family so it was no big surprised that she was a bit older then she really was. Once they had all eaten Sarah puts a hand on her head and she closes her eyes for a second. 

It had been a long day, first taking care of Leira and give Jareth his power back. Then it was the case with Arreci and to break the spell on him, after that everything was a big black hole. She half rember talking to Yurien and Melora about creating a cover up story for when her mother come for a visit. The next thing she remebers is waking up to Sir Didymus playing with Luna, Yurien in the kitchen, Leo sleeping and Melora had returned back to the underground to pick a few things up. 

"What's wrong Sarah?" Luna asks and the young girl looks at the woman she sees as a mother figured. "I'm just tierd. It has been a long day for me and I'm still not well." Sarah said to Luna, missing that Yurien and Melora looks at once another. "Then you need to sleep, and in a reall bed and not on the chouch." Luna said and Sarah smiles.

"And that I will." Sarah said and she kissed Luna on her forehead. "I will see you in the morning my little one." Sarah then said and she slowly rised up from the chair she was sitting on. Melora rised up to help her but Sarah just holds up her hand to stop her. "I got this." She said in a low voice as she walks past Melora.

Sarah slowly walks up the stairs to her room, this time she did not stop for any other room. Once she got to her old bedroom she closes the door behind her and she walks over to her bed. She sits down on the edge and she takes the red book once more and opens it up and the memories started to play once more in her head. Sarah puts her head on her pillow and she closes her eyes hugging the book to her chest, letting the memories of what was and what could have been playing out in her head.

In her dream Sarah soon finds herself standing in an open field, only a few trees could bee seen far away from her. The ground was coverd with snow and the sky was grey and it feelt as if it was about to snow even more any given second. Sarah looks around herself, believing she was alone in this place but her eyes soon landed on someone sitting not to far away from her.
