Sarah was pacing the rose garden that Hoggle was in charge of. It had been almost 4 weeks since she had to take the goblins that had been kicked out from the castle in to the Labyrinth.
She had thought the few people she had taken with her then would be the only one but she had been wrong. Through the weeks more goblins had been needed to be moved to the Labyrinth for safety.
And it felt like she was standing still on the same spot that she had been when she started. Something that was making her more frustrated then anything. Well not really anything.
No one had really seen the king since the day Sarah had yelled at him. Leria has been the on to run things in the castle and things where going down hill fast.
"Would you stop pacing already? You are starting to make marks in the grass." A grumpy voice was calling out, pulling Sarah back in to reality once more. She turns around to see Hoggle enter the garden.
"I'm sorry Hoggle but this is the only place where I can think straight at for the moment." Sarah said and she soon starts to pace once more. "Well you are making my work harder if you don't stop soon." Hoggle said.
Sarah stops and this time she sits down on the stone bench. "I'm sorry Hoggle. I'm just..." Sarah said but she never finished the sentence. "I know, I know." Hoggle said, already knowing what Sarah was thinking of.
"Maybe I should just give up." Sarah said and she lowers her head. Hoggle snaps his head around when he heard what Sarah said. "What! No you don't! You didn't gave up when you were runing the Labyrinth and your not giving up now." He said with a gruff voice.
"Well the circumstances were much different then. This is something that's far beyond me." Sarah said and she looks down at the grass.
Hoggle suddenly started to laugh and Sarah looks towards him. "What's so funny?" She asks him and she narrows her eyes a little. "This being beyond you? This is the sort of thing you love the most. Or used to." Hoggle said as he was watering one of the flowers.
"Nothing down here is what it seems anyway. What was it the wise man said to you during your run?" Hoggle then asked and Sarah looks at him. "They way forward is sometines the way back." Sarah said thinking back at the old Goblin and his talking bird hat.
Hoggle nods his head. "Yes that. It might not have been of much help back then. But I think it could help you know." He said and turns towards the next rose. "It would if I did not stand still on the same spot." Sarah said and she rolls her eyes.
Hoggle shakes his head and turns around to look at her. He was about to say something but stopped by someone else calling. "MY LADY!" Sir Didymus voice was echoing through the garden and both Sarah and Hoggle looks towards the gate to see the small fox knight runing towards then.
"Didymus what's the madder?" Sarah asks and she raises up from the stone bench. The fox soon stops in front of her and he bows his head. "We have problems in the camp." He said and Sarah and Hoggle looks at one another. "What kind of problems Sir Didymus?" Sarah asks, not really liking this.
"The goblins are getting restless and they want to take care of Leira themselves." Sir Didymus said and Sarah looks at him in almost disbelieve. "They are what?" she asks once more. "They are planning a Goblin revolution." Didymus said and he takes a step back when the anger in Sarah's eyes were shining once more.
"Take me to them!" She said with a low voice and Didymus nods his head and he turns around and starts to walk. Sarah follows after him, her eyes narrowed and her mind was already working up what to do or say. Hoggle just shakes his head and he puts down the things he was holding and followed after his two friends. Even if he did not want to see what was going to happen he needed to be there.
Didymus leads the group through the labyrinth and to the camp that had been built up for the goblins. The closer they got to the camp the louder the fighting that was going on in the camp got. Sarah took a deep breath before she walks past Didymus in to the camp and she looks at all the goblins around her. No one had yet to realize she was there and she could even see that both the chef and Yurien had join the group.
"What is going on here!" Sarah calls out and everyone froze up when they heard her. Slowly heads was turning around to look at her and she could see fear in some of the goblins eyes. "My lady." The chef said a bit surprised over to see her there. Yurien looks at her and she looks down a little bit when she sees the anger in the young woman's face.
"Well?" Sarah asks once more and she crosses her arms. "We are tierd of hiding here. More of our kind is being thrown out and we don't see you doing anything to get us back or get our king back either." One goblin said and Sarah looked at him. She narrowed her eyes to hide how much his words had hurt her.
"Hey! Watch your tongue!" The chef said and he narrows his eyes in to the goblin who had spoken. "Oh come of it! She is suppose to be the all mighty child of the Labyrinth. She was supposed to solve this fast." The goblin said.
"The only one that can save us is the champion and not this one!" The goblin then added and A small gasp went through the group who knew the truth. Sarah looked at the now growing fight infront of her.
Sarah looks down to the ground and she closes her eyes. The words the goblin had said was echoing in her head. She takes a deep breath and takes of her necklace.
"Guys! Calm down!" She then said and she looks at them all. The fighting got to a halt when they all saw Sarah standing in front of them. "Sarah! What are you doing!" Hoggle asks and Yurien walks over to Sarah.
"What's going on here?" The goblin who had been speaking asks looking confused over what's going on. Sarah holds up the crystal necklace and the goblins eyes grows big. "I'm both parts." She said with a low voice.
The goblins all looks at her with big eyes and half of the goblins soon looks down in shame. "Now, let's go back to the problem at hand." Sarah said and she crosses her arms.
"When I told you guys that you need to lay low I meant it. I have only a small window to work with and I don't have that much magic." Sarah said and some of the people around her nods her head. She opens up her mouth to speak once more but instead a small cry of pain was coming out.
Sarah falls to the ground as a rush of magic was going through her body and she was shaking badly. "Sarah!" Yurien called out and she was taking hold of her to easy up on the shaking. "My lady!" Multiply creatures called out.
The magic had soon settle itself in her body and she stops shaking. She open up her eyes slowly and she felt both strong and very weak at the same time. "What happened?" Hoggle asked her as he steps towards her.
Sarah looks at him but she dose not juts see him. She sees everything around her and the Labyrinth. She could feel how it was moving and changing all around her and a head ache was forming in her head. "I... I don't know." She said.
"I took away the power the king has over to Labyrinth and gave it to Sarah." A voice soon said and everyone turns around only to see the spirit standing not to far away from them.
"You did what?" Sarah asked and her eyes grow a little. "It's like you said my champion. The time is limited and you don't have the power you needed to take care of things. But now you do." She said.
"And do not worry about the king, I have a feeling he dosent even realises that his control over this place is gone." The spirit then adds and she looks at the creatures in front of her.
"I think I need to sleep. Or throw up." She said and puts a hand over her mouth. "Alright, care full. Let's get that necklace on you again and I'll lead you back to your room." Yurien said and she help Sarah up to her feet.
Sarah slowly puts on the necklace and the moment it was on she felt even worse then before. "Don't worry. After getting some sleep you will feel much better. It takes a while for the magic to settle in nicely." The spirit said and Sarah nods her head.
Yurien starts lead them away from the camp and the spirit looks after them. "What did you do!" Hoggle asks the spirit and she just looks down on Hoggle. "What I had to." She said before she was gone.
Sarah was leaning fully on Yurien as they were walking through the Labyrinth and towards the castle. Neither of them realising someone was following them in the shadows, neither did they know this person had been following after Sarah since the rose garden.
