Labyrinth: A Queen in hidding {On Hold}

A free High queen

Sarah woke up by the sound of someone knocking on her door. She opened her heavy eyes and looks up to the sealing. If she didn't knew better she would say she was feeling much worse now then before.

Hoping it's someone of her friends that she can send away Sarah slowly raises up from bed and pulls her dressings gown. With a slow walk she heads over to the door and opens it up.

But the moment the door was open and Sarah saw who was standing in the other side she froze. "Y... your highness." She said and bowed down a little. High queen Melora was not the person Sarah had expected to stand in front of her in a time like this.

Melora looks at the young woman standing in front of her and she could feel something was very wrong. She could see how the young woman was slowly dying. She did remeber the woman saying that the young woman the child had taken over was dying but she had not seen anything back then.

"My dear you should not be up! Back to bed with you!" Melora said and she starts to push Sarah back in to her room and she closes the door after her. "Now back to bed with you. We can't have the champion passing out on us." She then adds.

Sarah looks at the woman with big eyes and she is unable to move. Melora looks at Sarah and she smiles warmly and leads the frozen woman to her bed. "I saw what went down in the little camp you made for the goblins in the Labyrinth." She then said and Sarah just looked at her.

She had a hard time believing what was going on at that moment and she just looked at the older woman. "H... how?" Was the only thing she managed to get out.

"I was on my way to meet Leira when I saw you and the dwarf talking in the rose garden. I was about to ignore it when I saw the fox knight coming runing with the bad news.  I don't know what got in to me at that moment but I followed after and I got to say. I'm happy I did." Melora said and she looked at Sarah.

"I'm sorry for the way my son, my husband and me has been treating you. And I have no idea of how I could even allow that woman as a possible bride for my son. I remeber that she has asked before but I have always denied." Melora said and she crosses her arms.

"As you have figured out by now she isn't very found over other creatures. She thinks they are all below her or the fea race." Melora said and Sarah let's out a small laugh. "You don't say?" She said rubbing her stomach without realising it.

Melora looks at Sarah and her behavior. "Did she hurt you?" She asks and Sarah makes a face. "Well to her defense I was a Goblin." Sarah said and Melora looks at her for a few seconds before she starts to laugh.

"Oh please tell me the long story for this one. And when your at it, tell me everything that have been going on." Melora said and Sarah looks at her for a few seconds before she takes a deep breath and she starts to tell the older Fea woman everything that had been happening.

Melora looks closly at the young woman beside her as she tells the story and she puts a few things on her mind. Once Sarah was done Melora nods her head. "Alright, a few questions." She said and Sarah looks at her. "I was afraid you would say that." She said whit a small smile.

Melora just smiles towards her. "First of. 10 years!" She said and Sarah could not help but to roll her eyes. It was now 20 minutes ago that the high queen had entered her room and she already liked this woman. "Yes, 10 years." Sarah said.

"But how, why? And how come no one figured it out?" Melora asks and she tries to put things together in her head herself to. Sarah smiles a little sad and looks in front of her.

"For the how I'm not really sure. One moment I was in my old room back in Aboveground and the suddenly I was standing face to face with my friends from the Labyrinth. Once they saw me they were a bit worried over how the king was going to react if he found out that I was back in the land and to tell you the truth. So was I back then to, I was still pretty young and naive back then." Sarah said with a small laugh.

"Hoggle turned to the spirit and asked for something that could hide a persons true self from others and the spirit gave him this necklace." She then said and she takes a hold over the green crystal.

"Only those who knows who I really am can see my true self. Others sees Marinette. I got this small house down in the fea part of the lands and I have lived a happy life there. Well a happy life up until Yurien told me about the engagement between Jareth and Leira." Sarah said and she took a deep breath.

"And the rest you know." She then said and she looks at Melora who nods her head. The two of them sits quietly on Sarah's bed for a few moments, letting everything that has been said to really sink in. 

"I have a question." Sarah said and Melora looks at her. "And what is it my dear?" She asks and Sarah could not help but to smile once more.  "How come your suddenly so nice towards me and talking bad about Leria? The last few times I have spoken to you it has been all talk about how great she would be as the queen." Sarah said and she looks at her hands.

She had known the high queen and king had been under some sort of spell, but it had still hurt quiet badly for some reason that they had thought a woman like that was a much better choice for their son.

Melora looks in front of her and she thinks for a few minute. "I guess the spell broke the moment I saw Sarah Williams the Champion of the Labyrinth. The woman I have been trying to find along side my son and not Marinette the child of the Labyrinth." Melora said and Sarah looked at her when she heard the part about Jareth looking for her.

Melora smiles when she sees her reaction to that fact and she puts an arm around the young woman's shoulders. "My dear, the moment Jareth found out that you were missing in your own world he got worried and scared." She said and she soon smiles fondly.

"Sure he was angry after you won back your brother. But all that anger was gone the second the news hit his ear. He loves you with all his heart, sadly he doesn't know that right nowm" Melora said and she suddenly stands up.

"So, any plans on how to break the spell and kick that woman out?" She asks and a small fire could be seen in her eyes. Sarah smiles but she just shakes her head.

"As I have said before we need to wait. I can't do anything until I fully knows what's going on. Once I have all facts and a way to break the spell then I will act." She said and Melora nods her head.

"Alright then. Well you need to rest, you are going to need all the power you have for this one." She said and she turns to the door. "I will go back and act as if I'm still under Leira's spell and see if I can find something out." She said and Sarah looks at her a little surprised.

"Th... thank you." Was the only thing Sarah could get out and Melora turns around and smiles at her. "No worries. This is my way to repay for everything I have done towards you when I was under that spell. And I really want to see that woman go down quite fast." She said and before Sarah was able to say or do anything the High queen had left the room.
