The next few days were basically a living hell. I felt terrible, and I assumed Adam also did, not that I would know since I hadn't talked to him since I slammed the door in his face.

I went to work like usual, and surprisingly I didn't see Tristan at all, he never came in for the coffee he actually never wanted. I wasn't sure how I felt about him to be completely honest, but I still missed him, I mean the guy was gorgeous and super sweet. But, nevertheless I filled cups and orders of every kind and plastered on a huge, fake smile.

"Earth to Jen?" Sydney waved her hand in my face, stopping her rushing for a second.

"Huh? What?" I shook my head and snapped out of my thoughts.

"We have orders to fill and there's a huge line, you're standing here daydreaming and thinking about slamming the door in Adam's face."

"Well, I-" I started but Sydney cut me off.

"To be honest, Jen, you're hot. You have nice boobs, long, pretty hair and gorgeous eyes. You can do so much better than that weird, messy bed head hair guy. You can get someone like Tristan, he's hot as shit, babe," her eyes sparkled with idea, and I didn't like it.

"Well, thanks? But I still like Adam a lot, even if he isn't the hottest guy out there, but I also think I might like Tristan a little?" I'm not even sure and even to me it sounds bad.

"Well, you have all the time in the world to think about it," she reassured and smiled, "But for now, please start filling cups of coffee."

I began filling the cups and started to have fun getting in a rhythm with my co-workers, when a familiar figure walked in. A certain tall, lanky, awkward one.

"Jen?" Adam's voice cracked.

I looked over at Sydney and she nodded, telling me I was allowed my break now.

"Didn't I slam a door in your face a few days ago? Shouldn't that be enough to tell you that I can't see you anymore?" I huffed.

"I know, I know, but I need you, I feel like I'm having with drawls of you, Jen."

"I...I miss you a lot too, Adam."

"Then does, does it mean we can try again?" His dark brown eyes lit up, " Please?"

"I guess, I know I sound like a push over, but I miss you so much."

He smiled, and since we were outside where no one could see us, he took my face in his hands and brought his lips to meet mine. I finalized the connection and immediately felt relief flood through my body, knowing this was right.

"I love you, Jen."

"I love you too, Adam."

I said bye to Adam and we agreed to hangout after work, and I walked back into the shop.

"You're back together?" Sydney asked.

"Uh, how'd you know?"

"Well, it's not like you guys made out for everyone to see or anything."

"Shit, people saw that?" I frantically paced.

"Uh, yeah it was in the open," she said.

I looked around and soon my eyes found someone else's emeralds, boring holes into me.
