"Wait, so people like, customers, saw us?" I blinked hard.
"Yeah, probably."
"Shit shit shit," I looked over at Tristan again.
His pink lips were pressed into a tight line, and his usually bright green eyes were dark jades.
"What's the big deal? You don't want people knowing you're back together with him?" Sydney asked.
"No," I kept my gaze with Tristan, "that's not the reason. He's the reason."
She turned to look where my eyes were and took in a deep breath before saying, "You should just tell him you and Adam are together now."
"You don't think he knows that by our makeout session in the street?" I laughed and shook my head, "I should just ignore it. I'm happy with Adam, and it's not like we were ever together right?"
"I guess, but I'd still tell him. It's not my choice though, so do what you want."
She walked away to go fill more orders and left me standing alone thinking about what to do.
I sat across from Adam on the couch, my feet on his feet and shoving Chinese food in my mouth. He had driven me home after work and we stopped for the food on the way home. I never talked to Tristan seeing as he stormed out after grabbing his coffee.
"What am I supposed to do?" I whined to Adam between bites of orange chicken.
"Well, are you happy with me?" he asked, licking his lips.
"Yes. Of course."
"Then, we'll last more than we did last time so I'd tell him since you guys won't be going out any time soon. Just say that you like him and he's a cool guy but he can't fuck you as good as I can," Adam licked his lips once more and winked, laughing his head off.
I kicked his feet, "Adam."
"Sorry, sorry. It's true, but either way just say that you didn't feel anything with him or something. That's what I'd wanna hear," he raised his eyebrows at me.
"Alright, I'll call him," I reached for my phone and tapped the screen to life.
I had two texts, one from Sydney and another from Tristan. Sydney's was just checking in on me, so I clicked Tristan's.
Hey, can we talk about what I saw earlier?
I typed, Yes, and clicked send.
My phone started ringing and I answered, "Hello?"
"Hi. It's Tristan."
"I know, I have called I.D," I laughed.
He didn't laugh with me, and said," So, can you explain?"
"I've always loved him. He means so much to me, I can't even began to explain that. But I can explain that we just don't click as me and Adam do. And I'm sorry for that, I wish we could've clicked and been together because you're gorgeous," Adam cleared his throat behind me, "Anyways, I'm sorry but I am dating Adam again, and too be honest I couldn't be happier."
"Okay. I understand. I mean, I don't get why'd you'd lead me on at all if you're 'in love with him', but I respect you and I respect him, so I'm glad you're happy. Good bye, Jen. Maybe we can be friends and get some coffee?" he offered.
Adam caught the last bit and sighed loudly and cleared his throat.
"That'd be great," I smirked at Adam and shrugged.
"Okay, see you around."
"Bye," I pressed the end call button.
"He's gorgeous and you're going to have coffee with him?" Adam choked out.
"Hush, you know how gorgeous you are and I'll do more than have coffee with you," I licked my lips.
"Oh, is that so?"
"Yep."
"Prove it."
I walked over to where he lay on the couch and carefully straddled him. Leaning down, my hair fell in curtains around our faces, as I placed my hands on his muscular chest. He finished everything by wrapping both arms around my upper back and pulling my face down to meet his waiting lips. They moved together perfectly, and his tongue glided across my lip, so I parted my lips letting him in. Our mouthes knew each other so well, that everything clicked. Adam's hands ran up and down my back, moving up my shirt. I let out a soft moan at his touch, which made him smile as we kissed.
Finally, the kiss broke and I flopped onto his chest.
"Definetley better than coffee," Adam breathed out above me.
We fell asleep like that on the couch, and didn't wake up until late so I called in sick.
"You're cute when you sleep," Adam kissed my nose.
I looked up into his brown eyes, and in that exact moment, I knew that I was falling in love with Adam Young. Fast.
I leaned toward him and lightly brushed my lips against his.
"But you're also getting heavy," Adam sat up, forcing me onto his lap.
"Wow thanks," I laughed.
"You're still perfect, babe."
"Sure, a heavy kind of perfect."
He silenced me by kissing me hard, and then lifting me off his lap and laying me down, climbing on top of me. Adam's hips slowly ground onto my own, and all together he was his own kind of hot.
I moaned softly and he groaned.
"Shit, Adam."
He smirked,"I love you, Jen."
"I love you too."
And I meant it with everything inside of me.
