Five years later, I was still a marauder, still getting in trouble and still getting hated on by Kylie Riddle.
I just didn't see that girl's deal. Just because she was a Slytherin didn't mean she had to be a bitch all the time.
I mean look at Sirius' cousins Narcissa and Andromeda, they were some of the nicest people you could ever meet and they were in Slytherin.
Even me! Just because I'm a Gryffindor doesn't mean that I'm an arrogant twat all the time ... Just most of the time.
In my defense, I am best friends with James and Sirius who's attitudes both rub off on me.
In Kylie's defense she is forced to hang around Snivellus, Avery and Mulciber. If that was me I would be a complete bitch too.
I suppose she's not so bad, I mean we have some civil conversations every now and again. To be honest we're both kind of forced to be nice to each other since Liv wants us to be friends, which I suppose couldn't be too bad. I'd be able to get the Slytherin password from her. Imagine all the pranks ....
I brought out of my little reverie when Sirius thought it would be a good idea to drop a dung bomb on Mrs Norris while we were walking to breakfast, hence I was physically pulled out of my internal monologue by getting dragged to by a very happy Sirius the Great Hall and was pushed into James' lap.
"Hey best friend!" I tried but got pushed onto the bench.
"Oi!" I exclaimed, scowling.
"You could have stayed but you were obstructing my path to food." Was James' reply as bits of sausage fell out of his mouth.
"I'm fine here thanks." I muttered disgusted while Sirius eyed up his first snog buddy of the day.
"Cassie ... You love me right?" Sirius had a face that was supposed to be innocent but its Sirius, nothing he did was innocent.
"No, but continue." He scowled at me. "Come get me ten minutes before first lesson, I have a lady friend I need to have a very close conversation with." He wiggled his eyebrows like a retard and I groaned.
"Ew, you actually are such a minger, but fine, doesn't mean I'll be nice." Sirius beamed as he does when he gets his way and shared a secretive look with Remus before sending a smug grin and a wink to her.
As I walked out of the Great Hall, not bothering to wait for Remus or James I was tripped up.
I stood up only to see Sirius' deranged cousin Bellatrix cackling at me. "Well if it isn't the Gryffinwhore. Cruc-"
"Expelliarmus!" My saviour was the one and only Kylie Riddle.
There is something seriously wrong with my brain.
"Alright Bellatrix, go find some first years to torment or something, Lupin here gets enough crap from me. If I hear anyone else giving her any trouble I will not be happy."
Bellatrix scowled before strutting off.
This is gonna get awkward...
"You alright?" Riddle asked me. I smiled at her.
"Yeah, thanks you didn't have to do that." Kylie grinned.
"I don't like her anyway, she's a two faced bitch. Besides, its about time we got over our differences, right?"
"Uh yeah." I once again decided I needed my brain checking before turning my hair from turquoise (confusion) to its natural state, light brown with a white streak.
"Right, come along pauper, its time for potions." I found my self skipping down the potions with my ene- friend, Kylie was now a friend. Finally someone who could relate to my weirdness who wasn't a boy.
Grabbing Sirius' arm as we went, who looked extremely confused. Oh well.
