I sighed in frustration as I watched Sirius flirt with yet another girl. "You have it bad for him." Kylie's voice dragged me out of thoughts, startling me so much that I fell out of my seat leaving the majority of the great hall laughing at me.

"I have no idea what you mean." I huffed in annoyance, climbing back onto my seat haughtily.

Kylie snorted in an extremely unladylike manner. "Of course you don't. You're too stubborn to realise anything to do with feelings." She said in an informative tone as though she too knew what she was talking about.

I groaned, knowing she wouldn't let it go until I admitted I liked Sirius, which was a stupid idea itself, or got a boyfriend. Neither option was ever going to happen. "Listen, I don't like him, I just don't want to catch an STD from the idiot. In case you've forgotten, he tends to steal my drinks or shares his drinks with me and I do not want to be going to the hospital wing for it."

Kylie burst into a fit of giggles, making me question whether she really was a Slytherin and not a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw like she so often acted.

"You have to admit, you two are extremely close, even for best friends."

I shrugged nonchalantly. "He's my brother's best friend. It would be awful if we hated each other because I have to put up with him for Remus anyway." I looked over to him once again, thinking about what it would be like of we weren't best friends and glanced away quickly when we caught eye contact.

I desperately wished he wouldn't come over while I was an annoyed, blushing mess. Of course my wish didn't come true.

He sauntered over with a grin like he'd just won a million galleons; the same grin that usually meant he was going to get laid. I sighed. How I wished I could hate him. Wait, I did hate him ... most of the time.

Kylie looked at him in disgust along with me. "Ladies." I rolled my eyes. "Lady in drag." Kylie smirked, disguising a laugh at her own comment. I, on the other hand, had fallen off of the bench again, this time from laughing so much.

"Up you get midget." I was promptly hauled to my feet by Sirius and was now being steered towards the class along with Kylie. Kylie held her wand up to hex him but I shook my head quickly, mentally pleading with her to be civil.

She sighed dramatically. "Fine. I guess I can play nice ... for now." She smirked to herself as Sirius looked at us both confused before gently pushing us into the classroom and walking in afterwards. "I don't even want to know what that was about. Or how you became friends with little miss creepy here." He pointed at Kylie shaking his head as we sat down and the lesson began.
