"Oi! Remus wait or I'll burn all your books you peasant!" Was the way I addressed my twin when the time came for us to board the train.

Remus turned and entered the empty carriage. Smirking he slapped my arm and said "Cassie, they're your books too." My face fell making him laugh.

I scowled, my hair turning black and I stuck my tongue out at him.

About five minutes later two boys knocked on the door. One with messy black hair and blue eyes, another with curly black hair and stormy grey eyes.

"Mind if we sit with you, all the other compartments are full." Blue eyes asked looking hopeful.

"No, you're a peasant, get out." Their faces fell making them look like wounded puppies. I sniggered a little. "Joking! You can sit here really, I'm Cassie and this is my twin Remus Lupin."

The boys laughed. Grey eyes smirked at me. "I'm Sirius Black, your new best friend." I laughed and looked at blue eyes. "James Potter and I think Sirius is right, you two are our new best friends." Remus and I laughed and I turned my hair purple.

"Whoa! You're a metamorphmagus? That's wicked!" Sirius yelled. I smiled shyly back.

We heard a yell and a ginger girl with bright blue eyes ran in. "Hi, I'm Elizabeth, mind if I sit here, my brothers are dweebs and I don't want to get in trouble because of them." I smiled at her and patted the space between me and James.

James went bright red when she smiled at him. "Thanks."

"Anything for you lovely." Was James' reply. Elizabeth scowled at him. "Die. In a hole. Full of cabbage sprouts and broccoli." Everyone except James laughed at the shocked expression on his face.

The train ride passed quite quickly after that with the appearance of another ginger girl called Lily with bright green eyes and a greasy haired, sallow looking boy named Severus who both left after James flirted with Lily and insulted Severus.

We got to the school and I walked straight into a girl with bright blonde hair and icy blue eyes.

"Crap! I'm so sorry, I'm like the clumsiest person alive! Are you okay?" I asked the girl nodded and helped me up. "I'm Olivia Malfoy, nice to meet you." I smiled at her. "Cassie Lupin, pleasure."

A blonde boy that looked like an older version of Olivia stormed over. "Come on Liv, we have to go." Olivia smiled apologetically and walked off with the boy.

I caught up with my brother and his friends and we got on the boat.

"Anyone know what happened to Elizabeth?" I asked. "She got on a boat with this nasty dark haired girl who attempted to flirt with Sirius." James said scowling at the boat in which Elizabeth was sitting.

She waved and we all waved back. She also sent a very rude hand gesture to James when he blew a kiss to her.

We got inside the castle when a strict looking witch came up to us. "I am Professor McGonagall, I am going to sort you into your houses when we get in the hall. Your houses will be your families for your seven years at Hogwarts ...." She trailed on but my attention drifted to the different paintings talking to one another on the walls.

The door opened and we were led to a hat. I only paid attention to the sorting's of my friends.

"Black, Sirius." We waited for about five minutes when the hat touched his head. "Gryffindor!" It yelled making everyone go quiet.

"Lupin, Cassandra" I scowled at the use of my full name. "Hmm. Intelligent and shy yet too brave for Ravenclaw. Loyal too but too fierce for Hufflepuff. Mischievous too. Hmm. Slytherin would do you well but no, they're not your type of people. Too self ambitious for you. Better be ...Gryffindor!" I grinned and sauntered over to Sirius who gave me a hug of delight.

I was slightly worried about my brother getting put into Ravenclaw but then the hat shouted Gryffindor, making me grin and cheer with the other Gryffindor's.

As for James and Elizabeth, the hat barely touched their heads before shouting Gryffindor and Olivia shocked everyone when she was put into Hufflepuff.

What an interesting first day.
