Kasey's POV
While the students were all chanting 'Kanner' Tanner and I were just staring at each other. I started to think of what that girl said. Who is she??I recognized her. What's her name though..?? Layla? No... Lola? Nope.. Libby? Ugh, no...
Wait! That's Lexi!! Taylors friend!
Lexi likes Tanner?
Did they have something before?
I realized I was staring at my desk and someone came up to me.
I looked up to see Tanner. Everybody stopped chanting.
He crouched down and put his lips by my ear to whisper. His breath against my face sent shivers down my spine.
He whispered, "you okay?" I nodded.
The teacher walked into the room and kicked everyone out that wasn't in her class.
*skipping school because it's boring af* (looking back on this and seeing how many comments are on this part makes me laugh)
I stepped on the bus and saw Tanner was already in our seat. I hadn't talked to him at all the rest of the day.
I sat down and yet again, he asked me what was wrong.
"Nothing." I reply. It's silent for a moment before I speak again. "So, did you and Lexi have something?"
"What? No! What makes you think that?" He looks at me.
"Well... she told me to back off and that you're 'hers'." I explain.
He shakes his head. "Lexi and I never had something. I have another girl on my mind. And I can't stop thinking about her. I was planning on asking her out today, by the way... she's gorgeous, sweet, amazing."
I don't know why but I felt a pain in my heart when he said those words. Was it.. jealousy ?
"Who's this girl?" I ask in a neutral voice.
"You." He simply replied. He looks at me after a second and turns my face towards him. "Will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" He asks.
I want to scream but we're on the bus. I just frantically nod my head and hug him.
He hugs me for a few minutes as I rest my head in the crook of his neck and he presses his lips against my exposed skin on my shoulder.
