Hi My Candies! I apologize for the delay, just had a whirlwind yet amazing week of holiday, and time escaped me, anyways, back to the grindstone tomorrow, so guess it's an early night for me. :)

Hope you enjoy this.

Chapter 7: Escape this Town...

º

∞ Leonardo's PoV∞

I loved the princess. The fact still seemed highly unreal, dreamlike. I couldn't believe it. I knew that she felt the same way, there was no denying the chemistry or the relationship we'd formed in the last few days/weeks together. Their was however the massive problem of her status, her title and family. It didn't seem likely that things would ever work out between us.

Where there is a Will, there is a Way ... I reminded myself.

I knew it was what we both wanted, to be together. But, I wasn't sure how far she would be willing to go to be able to make it happen. I'd go to the ends of the earth to be with her, yet I wasn't the one who needed to make sacrifices, that all lay on her shoulders unfortunately, and I wasn't one to force her into something that she might later regret. As biased as my personal opinion might be , I did realize that this wasn't an easy decision for her at all.

I had a certain proposal, a master plan, but would she go along with it? There was only one way to find out. I knew I needed to see her so I could find out the fate before I lost myself deeper in this complicated affair.

*the next day*

"Hello," the doorman answered,

I was nervous about using the front door of the house for the first time, officially.

"I'm here to see the Princess," I announced with as much confidence as I could muster.

He nodded politely and ushered me into the hall,

"Just wait a minute," he commanded, as I removed the cap from my head.

I looked around in awe. This place was amazing, so beautifully designed, well cared for. Anyone would dream to live like this.

I was suddenly a little less confident of my plans. I was really a no body, a below average citizen, and here I was thinking I would be able to convince the princess to run away with me, to trust me to provide her with everything she'd need. Looking around, realizing what she'd leave behind. I thought it highly unlikely all of sudden.

"Who might you be?" asked a booming voice, I quickly noted was her father, the King.

"My name is Leonardo Manson, Your Highness," I bowed politely.

"I am told you are here to speak to the princess?" he enquired, not bothering to acknowledge my name.

"You have been told correctly, Your Highness,"

"Well, I am always aware of any business to do with her. Since your visit was not previously discussed with me, I can not allow her to see you right now. In fact, don't you bother ever coming back here. You will not have any future dealings with my daughter. She is set to be married, and doesn't need any idle distractions. Stay away from her" he warned, hissingly, showing me , rather rudely, the door.

I left dejected. I wanted to see her. I wanted to explain to her. What would she think of me now? That i was some coward unable to stand up for her. I hated myself, but it was either quietly run, or end up in prison to be executed.
