*Madeline's POV*
When the school bell rang at noon everyone knew the meaning of that bell: IT'S LUNCH TIME! Everyone packed their books in their satchel getting ready for lunch and Tarrin, in her usual corner, remained seated yanking her headphones onto her ears.
I looked around in the school cafeteria with intensity in my gorgeous emerald eyes. ' Who a are you looking for with "I'm desperately looking for you " written all over your face?' Penny asks in a sarcastic tone waiting for an immediate answer. I kept on my "desperate search" before Penny's words sink in.
' Have you seen Miles around?' I ask her hopefully she might have seen him somewhere
'No, why?' She shrugs while taking a mouthful of her Greek salad
' did he even come today?' I was quite put in a mood because he would never miss lunch
' what's wrong Madeline?,why all these questions about him?' she was grinning widely
' it's just that............' worry flooded my face but Penny couldn't wait to jump to the right conclusions
' wait!......are you guys.....OMG!......you are dating the guy, aren't you? she couldn't stop with that stupid grin on her freckled face. At least her freckles made me look more gorgeous than her
' No, silly. I'm not sure if I've lost it or what.'
' Why would you say that?'
' Don't you think that it kind of make sense that Miles isn't here and that Bridges girl isn't here either?'
' what do you think they could be up to?'
' Who knows? They could be making out or worse. He's mine!!!'
I was burning with rage as soon as those words came right out of my mouth
Nobody messes with me or what belongs to me although I know it'd be for a week.
