Madeline's POV

I cannot wait for the day to end so that I can start investigating.

The mall had a sale on designer shoes and some of the Victoria's Secret lingerie too. I managed to buy two sets of the lingerie and a pair of Jimmy Choo high-heels.
The queue into the shop was so long and lucky enough Penny, Jess and I were were second on the line.

"When are they going to let us in?", a lady from behind us shouts pointing at the 'closed' sign on the door of the shop

" I have my eyes set on a pair of Jimmy Choos ", says Jess excitedly

" Me too", says Penny with more enthusiasm than Jess and I combined.
I remember when Penny had a bad taste in clothing all thanks to her former bestie, Tarrin.
"Should we go to Applebee's for some milkshakes after this girls?", I say while clutching my purse tightly in my hands. One has to look out for their purses. Another woman's purse got stolen last summer when she was in queue waiting for a sale at Milady's.
Not that I  carry cash around but you can never  know what these tech-wise lowlifes can do with a credit card.

I cannot wait for the clock to hit 00:00 so I can start my spying. I think I should become a Crime Investigative detective or even better, James Bond! Except I'd change the the name to Jane Bond. Isn't that cool? A female version of the James Bond.

Dinner was not bad tonight. Dad talked about the new project he's working on and mom was rambling on and on about how she'll start an organic products business. It was great that for the first time they're not critical about anything I do or how Tarrin is well mannered and so on.
I kept myself occupied just to pass the time while I wait for the clock to reach midnight.
As I keep on scrolling down YouTube to watch more makeup tutorials my phone buzzed, an alarm I had set as a reminder and I quickly run to the drawers to change into more comfortable clothing.
I put on a black sweater and matching sweatpants then my sneakers to make the look less subtle.

Earlier today I bought a few items that I might need on this spying adventure. I even googled: How To Spy On Someone Who Looks Suspicious on the internet. The google isn't that bad after all.

I bought a small duffel bag, a torch, pepper spray, a pocket knife and a canon digital camera.
I could use my phone for pictures and voice recording but  the battery finishes faster so I need a back up plan.

"Let's get this party started!",  I say while looking into the mirror.

I have put pillows on my bed and a wig to make it look like it's me in case my parents happen to 'check on me'.
Although I've locked my room but I believe they have a spare key.
With my hair tied to a bun I put on a beanie and slowly climb down the stairs. I don't want to wake them up or get caught while sneaking out.
I use the back door and exit to the road a few feet from the house.

Now that I'm out, I have to follow the sound of howling. How strange, it's quiet tonight.
They might not even be in the woods where I last saw them.
I think I should turn around and go back inside.
As I turn to go inside I hear a howl and I quickly run towards it.

I have made it to the remote forest and  I can hear voices.
I peek through the tall trees and shadows move about near a bonfire. Some look like they are shape shifting and others are still in their human form.

I recognise Tarrin's voice but I cannot see exactly where she is.
I take another step forward while hiding behind trees. I pull out my cellphone from my pocket and activate into video mode.
I intend to take a video because pictures make a clicking sound. If I startled them with noises they'd find me. Werewolves are dangerous.
