I was disappointed with myself.
After the World Cup had passed, I reviewed how I had played. I mean I didn't play horrible, but I definitely didn't play good.
I figured it was because I was still out of shape from the summer, so I went to the gym more frequently. Me and the other World Cup boys had one last day to rest up until we were back in the lineup. I had better be ready to go by then.

My first game back didn't exactly go as planned. I didn't get a single point, although we just got by with a win. I felt physically in shape, but mentally I was out of it. I was getting inside my own head.
I went home after a rough night and sat on my bed with my head in my hands. What was happening to me? I was a wreck; ever since I broke up with Claire I hadn't been myself. I thought after a while I would go back to normal, but that obviously wasn't the case.
I took out my phone and scrolled through old pictures of us together. I smiled at first as I swiped through them, but I began to get upset when I remembered that she probably hated me now.
I began to think of ways to win her back. I needed her, it was like I was lost without Claire. Hopefully she would listen to me.
I could take her out for dinner, but that's a little cliche and not personal. We could go ice skating, but we always go skating.
I thought back to when we first met at Dunkin' Donuts. I remember the team had been telling me all the good American stores to hit up and that was on the list, along with the Starbucks right across the street.
Then, I had my idea- I would recreate our whole relationship, starting from our first meeting to where we last left off. Hopefully she would see how horrible I feel without her by my side and take me back. And hopefully she still loved me, because God knows I still love her.
Finally pleased with my plan, I went to sleep.
