Three: A Little Saucy

November 21st 2017. 6:45am

As I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock the next morning, my door opens wide and I throw a pillow over my head. A person sits on my bed next to me and I pull the pillow off my face.

I see Jasmine, my other best friend. I smile when I see her and she smiles back.

"What are you doing here so early?" I ask her truly curious.
When I actually wipe the sleep from my eyes, I truly see the look on her face. It says 'I am heartbroken.' I am concerned immediately and I sit up and pull her into a hug.

Jasmine breathes deeply and hugs me back. All she says is "Tyler and I are done." I am shocked. Tyler and Jasmine had been dating since the beginning of eighth grade year.

I ask her what happened and she tells me that she caught Tyler 'in bed' with another girl. Tyler has been an all around nice guy who has loved and respected Jasmine. I never thought he'd do this.

"I just can't believe it. We've been together for four years." Jasmine says sobbing into my shoulder and I hold her tightly.

After I comfort her and tell her that I've got her back, I get up and get dressed.

We head downstairs after I brush my teeth and I tame my hair.

While we are sitting down at the table eating Frosted Flakes, I hear the back door click and Will walks into the kitchen.

"Hey." I greet him. "Hi." he replies bitterly. I am taken back and I give him a questioning look. He doesn't give me anything to work with. He sighs and lies his head down on the cold, wooden table.

I shrug and continue eating. He's probably just in one of his moods. Jasmine starts talking about how much she loved Tyler and I zone off into space.
I come out of my reverie as I hear feet pounding down the stairs. I look up and see Hayley stomping toward the table.

"Young lady! You better not be getting an attitude!" I hear my mum yell down the stairs. I roll my eyes. I see my sister's pissy face and I remember all the times I had that "discussion" with my mother.
