Lily's POV
Friday December 8th. 5:45 pmAs we pull up in my driveway I see that Mom and Hayley are not home.
I look over at Will and ask "Can you stay for a little bit?"
"I'd planned on it." He says with a smile.
He turns off the truck and we walk inside. When we get inside he goes straight to the kitchen.
"Do you want some hot cocoa?" He asks as he rifles through the cabinet.
"Well of course I do. It's a cold December night." I say with a smile.
"You would say yes no matter what time of year it is." He says with a chuckle as he sets two mugs down on the counter.
"Ha. True."
I sit down at the bar as he makes the cocoa. After he's done he slides mine across the table to me. He then slides into the stool next to me.
We are drinking our hot cocoa when my phone buzzes. Will looks over at my phone as I turn it on and look at the message.
"It's my mom" She says.
'Hayley, I will not be coming home tonight. You can ask Will to stay the night if you want to.' I read the message out loud to Will. I reply to her with "ok".
"So, do you want to?" I ask Will. "Sure." He says and he sticks his tongue out.
