Chapter 15 --

"He's gonna injure it again," Ryoka muttered softly to herself as she stared at Oishi with wide eyes.

"What?" Oishi questioned, not hearing her soft words.

"GAME SET, WON BY SEIGAKU'S FUJI!!"

Oh no. Fuji's finished already! She thought after she heard the announcement.

"GAME COUNT IS 6-1!!"

Ryoka quickly ran past Oishi, ignoring his confused voice, and sprinted to Tezuka who was about to play next.

"Tezuka!" Ryoka shouted, barely managing not to trip when she stopped abruptly in front of Tezuka. "Don't!"

Tezuka picked up his racket before turning to look at her. "Yes?"

Ryoka clenched her fists and narrowed her eyes. "Don't go out there. Your elbow. You're gonna get injured again," she said, looking up at him and staring into his russet eyes. "Or in a worse case, you might injure you're shoulder as well."

"My elbow is already healed. And I'll be careful not to injure my shoulder," Tezuka said, ignoring her warning. He knew that there was a strong possibility that he'd get injured again during his match with Atobe but he was going to risk it anyway. For his team. "I'm bringing Seigaku to the Nationals, Ryoka."

I don't want to see you get hurt, she thought, showing her emotions clearly in her hazel eyes.

"Tezuka, if you step onto that court I will never speak to you again," Ryoka threatened, trying desperately to stop him.

"Is that all?"

Ryoka dug her nails into her palms and breathed out angrily.

"Fine. I'm not gonna stay here and watch you ruin your arm," she snapped before she stomped away.

He's gonna get injured again!

I can't stop him! What do you want me to do?! I don't want to see him get hurt either!

Ryoka huffed in anger, surprising the people near her.

Please don't take it too far, she thought, turning around to look at the direction she came from.

It should be finished now? Right? Ryoka asked herself, bouncing the tennis ball in her hand.

After she walked away, she stole -oops, I meant borrowed- from a racket and tennis ball from random person before spending the next hour playing against herself and the wall.

She merely left the racket and tennis ball on the ground before walking back to the courts.

"GO HYOUTEI, GET THEM HYOUTEI!!"

"SEIGAKU!! SEIGAKU!!"

They're still playing against each other?!

Ryoka quickened her pace and she stopped when she was beside Kikumaru.

"Why isn't it over yet?!" She exclaimed, leaning over the fence. Her hazel eyes studied Tezuka and she clenched her fists. "If this continues, he'll really hurt his shoulder!" She shouted, her eyes studying his left side.

"No, Ryo-chan, I think he's going to win!" Kikumaru exclaimed, pointing at Tezuka.

I hope so... she thought, staring intently at Tezuka and observing his shoulder and elbow. He's not gonna hold up too long... please don't let it be bad.
