Beth-a massive loner at school slurps discourteously, to the irritation of the boy behind her. The boy's ears are so irritated by Beth's noisy antics that he spits out a few words in utter frustration. Beth being Beth reads more into the boy's attempts to pass a message to her.
Marcus: Hey Beth, enough of the slurping

Beth is still smitten by the shock of a boy speaking to her. She still spends a few moments fishing for adequate words to say to Marcus. Her heart pounds so fast that she knocks her drink over.
Beth: OMG! He even knows my name. Oops! I've gone and spilled my drink. He is going to think I am a total klutz.
