The curly-haired teenage girl closes her eyes and wishes what she had just seen would somehow be erased from her memory. The biology teacher is unimpressed by Beth's chattering and jolts her with a stern tongue lashing.
Beth is overcome with sudden remorse and swiftly mumbles an apology, grudgingly. Feeling a bit emasculated by Beth's fierce attack on his mini-celebrity status, Marcus boils silently with some indignation towards Beth. Marcus isn't satisfied with a mere verbal warning and raises his voice in anger. His eyes become glazed over and bulge with outrage.
Miss Ruth doesn't take too kindly to Marcus's rudeness. The demons in Miss Ruth turn violent towards Marcus, slamming a pen against his wrist. It hurt the lippy teenage boy way more than it should have, causing him to let out a loud yell.
He soon brakes down into a tearful sulk. The teacher leans forward and subtly threatens Marcus, forcing him to shelve his desire to see some justice done for his getting manhandled.
