On a cold evening, after speaking to the warmest person ever, and savouring the comfort of the sweet conversation, I decided to pen this down while sitting on the same spot I received the call....

BIRTH OF WATERS

...............by Dhikraa Akande

Sky is pregnant,
Clouds whisper audibly.
Signs of delivery presume
Blowing, softly but heavy
It labours the wind to sway leaves.

Cold and dark, becomes the day.
The sun takes to its heels
As the clouds tumble n rumble.
Spreading themselves to fill the space.

Ready to push and deliver,
Tupp,tupp,tupp,dopp,dopp
Cries rain as it is delivered.
Delivered into the hands of Matron Earth.
Sky thunders its relief.
Oh! happy baby RAIN is born....
