Take my hand?!

Chap 12: Her Big announcement!

"Aasi, I still want to know what happened yesterday." Asif said out of nowhere as I flipped the third pancake for breakfast.

"Its none of your concern bro." I tried to play it cool and act like nothing ever happened yesterday.

"Aasi, you have to tell someone, so they can fix the problem, or at least try to make you feel better."

"Asif believe me, I am ok." I pulled a fake smile on my face.

"I see a fake smile larking." Asif glared at me.

" Ok, I will tell you only if...........you catch me! I shouted as I ran up the stairs to my room as he chased me, but I had already gotten to far and I locked the door. I guess I can't tell ya. You should have caught me, bro." I winked at him through the door.

"Whatever..." He said and I heard his footsteps slowly fade. I opened the door to see Asif still there and he was smirking. Then he grabbed my shoulder as I tried to rush back into my room.

"Not so fast. he smirked. You gotta tell me now, I caught you and besides I am your big bro you are supposed to tell me everything."

"What about you, i know you have some secrets to tell me." I smirked as he glared.

" I don't like anyone! What's the point in it anyways? he half way screamed and I laughed at him because he interpreted my question. I told him every single detail afterwards and he just sighed at mostly everything. He thinks that I shouldn't hang out with them anymore after what I told him. He is right and I am not going to complain. Is not like I was going to speak to Zaid anyways, but I at least want to apologize to Umar. I dont even know how I am taking this so easily, I mean they were my childhood Bffs and even though we are still kids, well teenagers, nothing will ever be the same anymore. I have to remember that this is all the Qadr of Allah and that Allah does not burden on a sole beyond it can bare. I know I will move on and have incredible things happen to me in the future.

" So I will tell t---"

"Aasiyah, Asif, we are going out today." My ummi interrupted Asif as she walked up the stairs to inform us and went straight back down. Because my room and Asif's rooms are up stairs and Abdullah's and my parents rooms are down stairs No one really comes upstairs even though we have an extra room which is used for nothing. When Asif and I were a little younger that was our secret hiding place. I hope it gets to be used for something special in the future because even though its just a room, it holds a lot of memories from the past.

"Aasi, are you gonna go get dressed or are you going to stare into space? Asif waved his hands in my face which caused me to snap out of my thoughts. Like always." he whispered.

"Whatever." I said and closed my room door behind him. I walked in my room with every single thought from yesterday and all of the previous days that my Bffs and I have changed. I know that change is good(sometimes), but I feel that these previous weeks were the worst things that happened to me in life. Even though life is rough at times I have to always remember that Life is a test from Allah.

I walked up to the window were I used to look out to my backyard were  Zaid , Umar, and I used to meet up. We used to do mostly everything in my backyard, but now that has changed. I stepped a bit closer to the window, and as I looked down I saw a human figure that was slumping down on the grass with his head resting on his knees, he looked awfully familiar.  Near him lay A group of words, that were written with rocks. "I Am So Sorry" the rocks had written those words. I stared at the words for a minute then I broke into a big smile. I knew Zaid was apologizing for what he did and I like him, so that made me smile a lot.

"Where do you guys want to go to eat?" My ummi asked when we finally got back into the car after we were in the mall for about eighty billion hours.

"Ummi, you must be really sick because usually you say ,we are going to the place you wanna go to and that's that. Are you sick? he put his palm on my ummi's forehead and she smacked it away.

"No I am not, I just want to take you guys out somewhere nice before....."My ummi didn't finish her sentence when she got deeply distracted by her phone.

"Before?" Asif and I said at the same time.

"Nothing, I have an announcement that's all...so, were do you guys want to go for dinner?"

"Chinese restaurant, Halal restaurant." Asif and I said at the same time and I glared at him because he knows with all my heart, that I "HATE" Chinese food.

"Oh ,for Allah sake, just agree on something." My ummi commanded wit her eyes on the road.

"Ok...Chinese, Halal." We yelled at the same time. For some reason when we are together we act like two year old.

"Ok. Dullah, what do you think? " Asif smirked. Dullah likes Chinese more." he whispered in my ear and I felt the urge to playfully smack him.

"Wewl......" He tapped his ginger on his chubby cheeks. Dwum woll pwease? he started to clap and jump up and down in his car seat as Asif and I did a small   drum roll on our laps. "Mc Donwalds!" Abdullah said happily as Asif and I glared at our three year old brother.

"Are you kidding me, Mc Donald's is Haram and Disgusting." Asif said dramatically, as if most of the food in Mc Donald's was really Haram.

"Dullah, why do you want to go there?" My ummi asked from in the passenger seat.

"I want Fwench fwies."he chided.

"Dullah we can get some fwenchfwies at the Halal restaurant." I said in a sing song voice and smirked at Asif who was obviously angry at this point.

"Yaaaayy! Dullah clapped his hands.

After thirty minutes of Asif and I arguing about whether we should go to a Halal restaurant or a Chinese restaurant we finally decided that this time we would go to a Halal restaurant and next time we will go to a Chinese restaurant. We have been at the restaurant for about ten minutes, waiting to order our food. I hope we can just order our food, eat, and leave. Hopefully, ummi will forget about her big announcement, but most likely not.

We have finished our food and now are getting ready to leave, ummi hasn't announced anything so far. The food was absolutely delicious, I knew it was a better choice then Chinese food.The whole time we just joked around( like always) and texted on our phones here and there, but it was great!

"I knew my choice was way better then yours ,Asif." I teased Asif and stuck my tong at him.

"Just because it was very good doesn't mean it is better them Chinese food."Asif said lowly.

"Ok you guys, here it goes." Ummi said out of nowhere and I smacked myself because of the fact that she remembered. I hate big announcements, They are never good news, at all!" Here we have it, her big announcement!" We are moving to Canada in a week! "
