Salaamz! I am back baby!!!!! Anyways, ive missed everyone and I am so excited to start again!!!!

Chap 23: Road Trip!

Aasiyah's P.O.V

Alhamdulilah! College. Gone. Done. Two years. Done. Associates. Done. Gone baby!

Can you put the pieces together? Of course you can...simple. Macy and I graduated! We officially graduated, but only a week ago. Feels like yesterday!

"Abdullah, Aasiyah, everyone is waiting outside! We have to get this show on the road, Yallah!" my ummi yelled across the room to where I was sitting. I wouldn't say that I was ignoring her I would just say that I was genuinely not paying attention to the mad women I call my mother. She's been acting crazy lately, its getting me kinda scared...

"Aasiyah please, please, pay attention?"

"Ok, ummi." I said calmly.

"Did you make sure that we have the passports?"

"Yes ummi, but why cant we just fly to Chicago--"

"Stop asking the same questions, I just wanted to have a road trip, that is it. It is less than a day away." she said picking up her purse and walking out of the door, with me following. 

"Abdullah come on." I stated firmly while he grabbed his Canada hat and threw it on his head, locking the door and giving the house salaams.

"Wow, I can't wait to see Abi, Asif, and um.. Zaid, and  Umar too!" Abdullah said hopping into the car. How does he even remember them....

"How nice..." I said with sarcasm illuminating my words

"What is wrong habibti?" ummi asked with concern as she put the keys in the ignition.

I let out a long sigh, guilty that ummi was concerned after I gave her some stupid teenage attitude." Nothing, Ummi, don't worry about it." I said as I glanced at my phone, it beeped from a whats-app text message. 

Asif: Salaams...

Aasi: Wa salaam :\. Whats with the dots?

Asif: I'll explain later. So where are you guys at?

Aasi: We are just leaving.

I wonder what he is hiding...

Asif: Ok...be safe. Don't forget to make dua.

Aasi: Inshallah. I know to make dua, I am not two.

Asif: Well dang then,lol

Aasi: Anyways, can you tell me whats up? 

I have no idea what he has to say, but I have a feeling that it isn't going to be something I will like. I took a glance back at my home as we drove out of the neighborhood. So many things can happen while I am in Chicago, bad and good. I don't want to think about change, but at the same time, whatever happens is Allah's will and of course that more than suffices me. I just don't have a positive feeling about going back. Before, I thought that I had  put the past behind me, but it still haunts me till this day...
