*Shawn*

I was backstage at Ellen's waiting for my cue. Today is my last day in L.A and I'm kinda sad because I'm leaving Lana. We only hanged out yesterday and I already love her... As a best friend.

"Shawn your on" I got up and headed out to the stage. "Hi Ellen" I gave her a hug and sat down.

"Okay Shawn I've been trying not to bring this up but who is this?" I looked at the screen and saw the picture of me and Lana. I smiled "That's Lana". "Is she your girlfriend or as pop news said it 'your secret lover'" the crowd started laughing "No no she's not my secret lover" I said laughing.

"She's my best friend" "Well are we friends?" She asks. "Yes of course we are!" I saw smiling. "In that case can I kiss you on the cheek?" The picture of Lana kissing me on the cheek shows up on the screen and the audience gasp and starts laughing. I feel my face get a bit hot.

"Go for it Ellen" I say. She kisses me on the cheek. "Am I your secret lover now?" The crowd starts laughing.

I had all my stuff packed and I was leaving the hotel. I got in my car and drove to Lanas house to say my final goodbye to her.

*Lana*

I was watching Shawns interview on my phone when I got a message from Shawn saying he was at my front door. I was really confused and thought he was lying.

I got up and checked and he was indeed at my front door. Good thing I always get ready when I wake up. I walked to my front door and saw my mom sitting on the couch. "Hello honey, where are you going?" shit. I forgot that she didnt go to work today.

"Just for a walk to the mailbox" she looked at me confused "oh um okay" I smiled at her and opened the door and walked out running into Shawn.

"Woah there Lana we only just met" I laughed and hit him playfully. "What are you doing here?" I said looking up at him. "I'm getting on a plane to London in literally 2 hours and I wanted to say bye" I frowned "Oh well goodbye then"

I hugged him and he hugged me back. "When are we going to hang out again?" "To be honest I don't even know" "Ugh okay well you should get going now Shawn it's a long drive from her to the airport" he nodded and hugged me again.

This time it was a long hug. When he pulled away he looked at me and smiled. "Don't worry I'll facetime you before and after shows and my days off okay?" "Promise? " I said as I held out my pinky. He looks down at my pinky and chuckles "promise" we interlock pinkies "Bye Lana" he walked to his car and got in.

He waved to me as he drove off. I watched as Shawn turned the corner, once he did I walked back inside. When I walked inside, my mom was staring at me with a smile on her face. Oh no.

"How was you walk to the mailbox" she said making air quotations in the air "Mommmmm" I said "Why was Shawn Mendes at our front door?" I smiled and walked over where she was sitting. "Its a long story mom".
