„I'll let you know." God I was so stupid. It felt as if I was ruining everything between me and Natasha. The beautiful, kind and caring Natasha Negovanlis, I had lied to. She was standing in front of me, apparently disappointed, because I couldn't tell her about what had happened. I didn't even dare to think about it. As a prevention of that present silence, that was making the room feel so small, I made my way back to Steph, Jordan and Spencer, having Natasha follow me.
„I'm sorry guys.", I said. Still concerned, Spencer asked me if I was fine. Once again, I apologized, telling them that I wasn't feeling well.
„Is it about the movie?" Jordan inquired.
„No way!" I tried to be as convincing as possible. „I guess I'm just getting sick or something." Spencer told me to go home. The serious face he was trying to hold couldn't hide his confusion. I heard him ad a silent "before you get me sick as well" as I was about to say good bye. His humor was always in a way funny and sometimes inappropriate. He was the kind of guy that made work a place where you like to spend time at. Sure my work at ‚Carmilla' wasn't that typical boring job a lot of people have, but it was still work. It took me a lot to learn all those lines. Especially because Laura was talking a lot and fast and... oh god I still missed her. I somehow missed her as a character and as a part of me. She was the reason why I had a fanbase, a feature film and a future. I didn't dare to imagine my life without ‚Carmilla'. Sure, every journey has to end but I was so happy that this one wouldn't end just yet. When I thought about that, I remembered what had happened just a few minutes ago. The announcement. When I did I was already standing in front of my bicycle, getting overwhelmed by joy.
There would be a ‚Carmilla' movie. A freakin movie. That was the most amazing thing ever. Sure, the feature film ‚amost adults' was already a big thing but this was just awesome. I started to make my way home. I couldn't stop mumbling ‚Carmilla the movie' over and over again. The car drivers must have thought that I was a crazy girl, talking to myself.
I arrived at my apartment building when I could stop myself from thinking about the movie and started to plan my rest-day. I decided to stay at home and do some stuff I had to do. That thing with Natasha had me going crazy the previous days what made it impossible for me to clean or even do the laundry.
Later that day I received a text from Justin, asking me to hang out with him. I hadn't seen him for quite some time, so we decided to meet for dinner. It was already 4pm. The last thing on my to-do list was grocery shopping.
Arriving there, a former redhead came across the store.
„Elise!" Sharron was smiling brightly.
„Hey you!" I greeted her with a hug, having to stand on my teeth to get closer to her tall shoulders.
„I guess you already got the good news!" She nodded.
„Yes, I can't believe it."
„Yup. Ehm did they tell you, how they are planning to tell the fans?Because I can imagine a lot of fun ways to announce the movie."
„No they didn't. But now that you say that a lot of ideas are coming to my mind as well." I smiled.
„See!"
„So hey, I got to go now but I'll see you soon okay?" She winked and went to the till.
I left the store just a few minutes later, having bought everything I needed. I went home, having only a block to my apartment.
When I was walking up the stairs a familiar face was waiting for me in front of my door.
„You're early." I opened the door, letting the taller person enter my apartment.
„You know what my mom says. Better to early then late." Justin smiled and got in. As always his perfume would fit perfectly to his outfit. His shirt was looking severe, fitting him perfectly. He smelled bitter but in the same time like summer. His hair looked smoothly with that oil he used.
„Since we didn't decide where we'll have dinner," I felt how I was getting exited, „I thought we could try a little bistro I discovered last week." Justin had an amazing taste in things like restaurants. Even though you would never hear him say that, but he was an excellent cook as well. One time he made me a vegetarian lasagna and it was the best thing I had eaten for months.
My best friend helped me pick an outfit, that wasn't just fitting to his style but also fitting to that bistro. After all I had no voice about my clothes that evening.
When I left the building I was wearing a white top, that made me look much more feminine then usual.
Justin and I drove to a street, not far away, but I had never been there before. There were little flags in the colors of a rainbow hanging over the street. It was fulfilled with people of every race, gender and probably every sexual orientation as well. It seemed like everyone would be accepted here in this gay little street. I was already planning on going there with Natasha in my mind. This street was like a part of Toronto pride that would never stop.
Anyways, Justin took me to that little bistro, after we parked. Small chairs and tables were standing in front of it. People were drinking coffee and some tee. When we walked in, the smell of pasta hit me.
„This my dear," my best friend took my hand „is Jay's vegetarian bistro!" My eyes must have been shining because Justin was giggling in satisfaction.
„How did you even find this?"
„Remember my friend Rachel? Well she suggested I should get here because she thought the waiter would totally be my type." I laughed. I didn't know Rachel but from what Justin told me about her, that was totally a thing she would say.
„Was he?"
„The last, and only, time I got here where only women serving. But maybe he is today." He smirked in a way that I knew as his ‚fuckboy smirk'. It was a thing Natasha and I had come up with at the set of ‚almost adults'.
Both of us sat down on a small table in a corner next to a small fire place. There was no fire but it being there was still making a nice atmosphere.
While Justin could look outside the window, I was able to have an eye on everything that was happening in the small bistro. It was quite interesting how casual all those people were, even though most of the men were wearing suits or something pink. Seeing so many different kinds of people although there were only around twenty in my field of view made me very joyful. A door, that I assumed was leading to the kitchen, was opened and a tall, good looking latin American man, who was holding four plates in his hands, entranced the room.
„Justin" I whispered.
„Turn around." For a second he was confused, before he turned around and gasped a little to loud. A young couple turned around, giving both of us a weird look.
I couldn't help but giggle a little.
The waiter served the plates and made his way through the room to our table. Justin's eyes were wide opened when he saw the latino coming closer.
„Omg he is so ho- - -hey." The guy was standing in front of our table, greeting us with a big smile.
„Hey! My name is Julio. I'm your waiter today. May I bring you the menu?" I nodded. Julio left a speechless Justin behind.
„If he ain't already gay, I'm gonna turn. him. gay." My best friend laughed.
Both of us ordered a salad, me with noodles and him with potatoes. It looked and tasted amazing. We stayed at ‚Jay's vegetarian bistro' for around two hours, eating, talking, laughing, drinking and of course Justin flirting with Julio. It was already dark outside when we left.
„Let me guess... they just earned a new regular costumer." Justin couldn't nod less obvious.
There were less people on the street. A few guys passed us with skateboards. Two girls laughed. Somewhere near was someone playing guitar. It was just a nice place to be.
Still, we weren't staying much longer, because both of us were tired. Justin drove me home and waved goodbye as his car was rolling away.
Well that was a nice evening, I thought and made my way into my apartment.
