I moved into the neighborhood, Oakbrook, three years ago. I got on the bus on the first day of school, nervous and afraid. Maddy and Ella sat together and I asked if I could sit across from them and Maddy said yes. She had three piercings in both ears. I was terrified for that year. Days went on and I started hanging out with Maddy. We painted snow with food coloring. We watched t.v and ate Ramen Noodles. We went to the creek and planned for nothing. We were friends and that's all I had wanted. Our houses were less than half a mile close. It's amazing that it happened really. We were fast friends and I can't really remember when we weren't talking on the bus or texting each other to meet in the middle. We were friends.
