We're all hanging out at Emmaline's in her room. Six people in one room is cramped but cozy. I'm sitting with Mase and Emmaline on her bed. Maddy is with Aj and Charlie on the floor facing us. Were talking about freshman year and how ugly we were in fifth grade. Emmaline and I were copying off of Ajs homework and mason was figuring out what music to put on. Maddyline and Charlie were talking about the different types of drugs he's had. Maddy is purely disgusted. But we love him anyway I guess, all that we can do is help and hope. Aj is looking up the answers to some test and checking his grades. We are all friends. We're all single. We've put things behind us and look ahead. Mase turns on g-eazy and Maddy and Emma and I start singing along and Mason sings the words he knows. I remember all the plans we had made and bring it up, "Guys. Do you remember when we made all those plans to go to New York??"

Everyone remembered. We laughed. I said we should do it for real. They laughed. I said I wasn't kidding. They got serious. To break the silence Mase said, "alright. I guess we're doing this"

So we decided to go two days later. We told our parents that night and left on Friday.
