That was two years ago. Now its 2018. Were sophomores at East High School. We're all friends. We're all single. We've put things behind us and looked ahead. Kayla and I have drifted. Far. We talk sometimes but hardly ever. Emmaline and maddyline and I remained. We hang out. Argue. Laugh. Charlie saw what he had lost when Emmaline was gone for good. He became friends with her again and things are good. Aj and Kayla still talk and it still sucks. But I have Emma and Maddy and Mase. We like cheesy quotes and hypothetical situations. We like what if's and could be's. We plan out things that we thought would never happen. Freshman year we planned a trip to New York, my favorite place in the world. We literally had everything perfectly planned. We were all working at Kroger at that point. It was enough. We were going to save up and put all of our money together. It takes ten hours to get there. Okay here's how it goes: we meet at the pond by Emma's house, Maddy and I go together because we are neighbors. Maddy and I will meet in the middle and make sure we have everything. Toothbrush, toothpaste, five pairs of clothes, quarters, laundry detergent, ten socks, ten underwear, two pairs of shoes, gummy worms, water, shampoo and conditioner and body soap, one coat, mittens and a hat, charger, phone, top three favorite movies, "on the road again" playlist, wallet, and drivers license. We get my car and go to the pond and there we pick up Aj, Emmaline, Charlie, and Mase. We check their bags and head out. We start driving and Maddyline has the first shift. We then rotate to Aj then me then Emmaline and then Mase and back with Maddyline. Charlie doesn't drive. He lost his license in his most recent deal. We take a pit stop every three hours. When we get there we don't sleep. We find the best places to go and see and things to do. It will be late but we don't sleep. We then wing it the rest of the trip and do the same routine on the way home.
