In seventh grade Mase dated a girl named Jackie. Kayla was "helping him" with that relationship but she liked Mase the whole time. Like my situation with Aj. I set Mase and her up and they didn't date until eighth grade. It wasn't for that long though and there were many, too many problems. Mason texted me literally every day complaining about her. Worrying about her. Thinking that it would be over soon. Mason is one of the sweetest kids I know. Which made this all worse. Because that night at the lake I realized how I felt about mason. I could never tell Kayla and I know he would never feel the same way. That's because he always talked to me and Emmaline about her. And I know he missed her. And it hurt.
