eight ; driving with mei.

The next morning, I walked to my room after washing up and stared at Mei who was still fast asleep.

I pinched her cheeks, making her eyes shoot open. "Oww!!" She screamed, hitting my hand away. I slightly laughed, moving my hand away.

"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" I asked. She shook her head whilst rubbing her eyes tiredly.

"It's Saturday." She yawned, sitting up.

"I found a unopened toothbrush in the closet, you could use that." I said and she nodded before getting off my bed.

After she finished washing up, she walked downstairs to my kitchen. I followed her from behind when she opened my fridge. Her mouth gaped open making me arch an eyebrow.

"Do you starve yourself?" She asked shaking her head in disbelief.

"No, I order." I said.

"Let's go grocery shopping since I don't have anything to do." She said before slipping her shoes on and running out the door.

I sighed before grabbing my keys, slipping on my shoes and following her out.

She waited for me to unlock the car before getting in. I turned on the engine and drove off.

"Are you living here now or what?" I asked making her laugh a little.

"Can I?"

"Are you joking?" I asked, turning my head to look at her. Her face suddenly changed and she looked at me with her wide eyes, pointing forward.

"LOOK!! YOU'RE GONNA HIT THAT DOG!!" She screamed, making me quickly curve to the side, hitting a tree.

I stopped the car, breathing heavily and looked at Mei. My heart stopped when her head was against the window, her eyes closed.

"M-Mei..?" I stuttered, shaking as I unbuckled my seatbelt. I leaned over and moved her head, only to find blood streaming down the side of her face.
