"Don't go in there,"

"Why?" She asked. I grabbed her arm and pulled her back inside the car.

"What the hell-Jin!" She exclaimed, looking at me like I was crazy.

There were things crashing inside the house and I didn't want her to go anywhere near it.

"Mom!" She shouted, letting go of my grip. Taehyung was hiding once again and I grabbed her, pulling her behind the car. I covered her mouth whilst hugging her from behind, not wanting Taehyung to hear her.

"Mei, please be quiet!" I whispered.
"My mom's in there," she cried. "Whats going on? Why won't you let me go inside?"

"Its not safe, Mei." I replied.

Her head turned to face me and her eyes were full of tears. "I'm scared," she whispered.

I took out my phone and called the police before anything else happened. I stood up and looked around.

Taehyung was nowhere to be found, so I quickly opened the door and we both got in.

Seconds later a gunshot was heard, my reflexes covering Mei's ears. My heart stopped, I couldn't breathe nor see. Her eyes flashed from me to the house-everything felt like it was going in slow motion.

Her mouth was open and tears welled in her eyes. "W-what was that!?" She cried. The police were here right when Taehyung jumped out of the house, making him quickly lose balance. He had blood on his hands, so something has to have happened.

"Jin.. JIN WHO IS THAT!? WHY DOES HE HAVE BLOOD ON HIS HANDS-JIN!" She exclaimed before trying to unbuckle her seatbelt. I locked the doors.

"No, Mei. Stay here." I said, tears welling in my eyes. She unlocked it before running outside.

"Mei!" I shouted, jumping out of the car, running after her. I grabbed her arm and pulled her close to me, hugging her whilst the police took care of Taehyung.

"Were you the one that called," a policeman asked. I nodded, before he ran inside the house to check what happened.

"Mei..." I tried soothing her whilst she cried in my arms.

"We have a woman shot and a man down!" The policeman shouted running out of the house.

Mei lifted her head up, collapsing to the ground. "Mom?" She said, weakly.

Fuck, this is my fault. I sighed frustratedly, before my eyes welled up.

The ambulance came, causing Mei to weep in her arms.

"Are any of you the relatives of this family?" A policeman asked. I pointed to Mei and he nodded.

"I will have to come with us to the hospital." He said, before leaving us.

"Do you want to go with them?" I asked, bending my knees to match with her. "I'll take you."

She nodded inside her arms. I lifted her up, as she wrapped her arms around me. I put her inside the car and closed the door. I got in the drivers seat and waiting for the ambulance to go, before following them.
