"Fuck," I spit out when his car drove passed mines and then coming in front of it. "He probably knows that I know he's following us, and that I was trying to head to the police station."

"Is he slowing down?" Namjoon asked.

I shook my head. "That's good, cause then we could just turn when we're able to." I said. I kept my eyes on the road, when the car suddenly turned right, leaving me to turn left.

"He just left," I said, looking in the rear view mirror. "Is Mei okay?"

"Yeah, she's sleeping. I don't know how she's able to sleep through this but it's whatever." Namjoon said from the back. Relief flowed through me and I continued on driving back home.

-

When we got home, I woke Mei up before walking inside. "Can I sleep here tonight?" Namjoon asked walking in. I nodded, setting the groceries on the counter.

"By the way, have you heard from Jungkook?" I asked, watching as Mei tiredly walked up the stairs and into my room.

"No," he sighed. "He doesn't even know English that well. Poor child."

"I think he'll do fine," I said. "I mean, he's the perfect child, and he's real smart."

"You're right," he agreed. "Well, I'm going to go take a nap, see no see ya."

I waved and he walked up to the living room. I made my way to the dining room when Ken climbed in from the window. I stared at him, shocked.

"I haven't seen you in forever!" I shouted, bringing him into a hug. He slightly laughed whilst pushing me away.

"I have so much to ask you," I said, gesturing him to sit down. "Apparently, Mei remembered something that I tried to rewind. She remembered being poisoned, and she also had a dream about her dying in a car crash with Jimin, which I also tried to rewind."

He sighed with frustration as he massaged his temples. "I think you're losing your powers," he said, before glancing at me. "Your powers were here only to save her once, but you saved her more than once. You remember going to the hospital after rewinding recently? It's going to get worst than that. You might actually kill yourself. You need to stop rewinding, Seokjin. You need to stop and just let Mei go already. She has no meaning in this life anymore. Her dad is in jail, the job is done, now all she has to do is leave."

"W-wait a minute. What the hell are you even saying?" I question, confusion filling my head.

"The reason you were able to rewind was because that's what Mei would've wanted when she got hit by a car. She hated her life-until you came along-but her only wish was for her dad to go to jail, because she didn't have the guts to report him for abusing her and her mom. Mei risked her life, for this, Seokjin. Mei wanted her dad to be the cause of her death so he'll go to jail and leave her mother alone."

"Wait, so you're saying she wanted to die?" I asked, my eyes squinting with my brows furrowed.

He nodded once. "But you kept rewinding every time she had a chance! That's why people around her are dying. Nothing would've happened to them if she died."

I heard something move upstairs and when I swift my head up, I saw Mei, her eyes bloodshot, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"-Mei,",

"I remember everything," she choked. "All the stuff you tried to rewind, I remember them!"

I bit my trembling lip as my heart beat increased. "You're so HORRIBLE! WHY WOULD YOU RISK THEIR LIVES TO SAVE MINES!? WHY, JIN!? I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU SO MUCH!" She yelled, crying as she ran in my room, slamming it shut.

Suddenly, my eyes blurred and tears welled up in my eyes. "Wait, Mei, no," I softly cried, running up to my room, trying to turn the knob but it was locked.

"You may think she's overreacting, but you don't know what it feels like when you're the cause of both the people you loved's deaths. Especially when you were supposed to die in their place. You just brought more pain to her than anyone else had." Ken said before leaving me as I slid down with my back to door

The pain inside me was strong, like a knife stabbing me in the heart. I didn't know whether I was upset because Mei is upset with me, or because if I tried to rewind again, I might actually die.

I could hear her soft sobbing through the door as I rested my head inside my arms in regret. If I knew rewinding was going to cause problems, I wouldn't have saved her in the first place.

-Wait, no, I would've still saved her, because she's brought so many feelings into me that I haven't really felt before. "Mei?" I mumbled, closing my eyes.

-

The next morning I woke up by the door. She still hasn't come out yet?

I looked around to find Namjoon still asleep in the living room. I walked over and slapped his cheek. He stumbled awake, falling to the floor. I slightly laughed, crossing my arms.

"What the hell?" He muttered, sitting up.

"Hey," I said, tapping his shoulder. "Go talk to Mei for me. She's mad and won't talk me."

"What the hell did you do to her? This early in the morning too?" He groaned standing up.

I sighed with frustration as I messaged my forehead. "She remembered everything that I tried to rewind."

"What?" He said. "What did you try to rewind?"

"I-Well, I tried to save her life, causing the people she loved to die instead." I mumbled, not able to look at him.

"Oh my God," he said his voice full of shock. "Are you serious!?"

"Yes," I frowned, rubbing the back of my neck. "I'm horrible aren't I?"

"Well yeah you are. You caused people to die because of her, and you're just living life like it's nothing?" Namjoon snapped. "Do you love her that much?"

I bit my thumb nail as I looked out the window. I thought about every smile she gave me, every laugh we laughed together, every sadness we cried together. "I think I do,"

"Well," he said. "That's cute,"

He walked away and I furrowed my brows. "That's cute?" I slightly laughed.

He knocked on the door to the room. "Mei? Are you okay?" He asked. "Can you please come out? You're hurting him. He's crying because you're not talking to him."

I walked over and leaned on the wall next to him. "She said 'Good!'" He said, looking at me. I sighed, pursing my lips.

"Well, I should go and leave you two alone." He said, walking down the stairs. "I have to go call Jungkook."

"Just call him here," I said.

"No, I don't feel like it," he said and made his way out the door. Seconds later I heard a loud gunshot, and every inside me went limp.

"Nam-NAMJOON!" I yelled running out the door.
