In the middle of the night, Mei woke up screaming. I ran to her, turning the light on to see her sitting up with her sweaty, frightened face. She shifted her gaze to me, eyes welled up in tears.

I sat by her and she pulled me into a hug. "I'm scared," she mumbled, her voice shaking.

"What happened? Did you have a bad dream?" I questioned.

She nodded. "I had a dream... I had a dream that I got in a car crash with Jimin..."

"You what?" I asked, pulling away, staring into her eyes. I cupped her face, tucking strands of hair away from her face. She wouldn't look me in the eyes.

"I died-died, instead of Jimin in the dream," she stammered. "It was like that day replayed again, but instead you didn't almost have a heart attack and you packed my lunch for me. Then I ran out the door to meet Jimin and rode the car to school with him, and during the way... we got into a car crash..."

My eyes widen as confusion flew through me. "Jimin survived though," she said, shifting her gaze to me. "Because I saved him somehow."

I swallowed and looked around thinking of what to say. "It was probably just a dream," I said looking into her eyes. "You'll be fine."

Why did she dream of that? What's going on?

She gazed into my eyes, her face softening. "Can you sleep in here with me tonight?"

"You want me to?"
"Yeah, please?"

I hesitated before nodding. I've never slept in the same room with a girl before, which shook me up. "I'll sleep on the ground-,"

"-No," she said shaking her head. "This is your bed, sleep on it with me."
"O-On the s-same bed?" I stammered, blinking twice. She nodded before arching a brow with a smile forming her lips.

"What's wrong?" She slightly laughed. I shook my head, standing up to turn the lights off.

After turning the lights off I got in the bed besides her. I didn't really know how close we were on the bed, but I felt her breathing next to me. "Pretty boy?" She whispered.

"Hmm?"
"Is this uncomfortable for you?"

I cleared my throat, pulling the sheets up to cover my body. "No," I replied, before accidently touching Mei's leg with my own. "Sorry,"

"It's okay," she said.

Silence.

"Are you sleeping?" She asked.
"No," I answered.

"Can I ask you something?" She said, hesitating at first. I faced her even though I couldn't see her.

"Mhm?" I said, feeling her do the same.
"You don't have a girlfriend, do you?"

I slightly laughed. "No, I don't."

"Okay," she said. "Do you want one though?"

I pursed my lips, thinking for a second. "Kind of,"

"Kind of?" She muttered. "Okay, that's good."

"Why?" I questioned, not able to stop the smile suddenly forming on my lips.

"I just wanted to know," she said, before turning away. I closed my eyes and couldn't help but grin.

"Goodnight, Mei,"
"Goodnight, Pretty boy."

The next day, the police called us in as the victims of what happened yesterday. The cashier lady was still in the hospital and they wouldn't let us know if she was still alive or not.

"I'm nervous," Mei said, holding onto my arm tightly.

"You'll be fine," I said, trying to make her feel better. "We did this before remember? For your dad and Taehyung."

"Oh... yeah,"

Inside the court, I was first to testify for Yoongi and his gang. "We were just in there to buy flowers for a friend," I explained. "Then they barged in, asking for drugs..."

Next was Mei.

She said almost everything I said, and after testifying, Mei wanted to leave and never come back. We left the court, only to accidently bump into a guy. He had brown hair with a long face, wearing a light blue denim jacket.

"Sorry," I apologized, when he glared at us the whole way out of the room.

"That guy looked mad," Mei said, looking behind her as we walked out.

"I know," I agreed. "He didn't look too nice either."

"Can we go see your friends? It's been awhile since I've seen them." She said, frowning as we got in the car.

"Sure," I slightly laughed. "I'll call him to meet up with us."

"J-Jin," she said, tapping me as I turned on the engine. "That guy walked out too. You don't think he'll follow us do you? He made eye contact with me!"

"Don't look at him, Mei. Don't think anything of him okay? If anything happens I'll protect you at all costs, don't worry, okay?"

Before I could go back to calling Namjoon, Mei cupped my face and pulled me to a kiss on the lips. My eyes widen, whilst so many things ran in my head. She pulled away, slowly opening her eyes.

"Do you like me?" She asked, looking into my eyes. "Don't lead me on if you don't, because I'm starting to like you."

"I-,"

"Don't tell me right now!" she shouted, catching me off guard. "I'm too embarrassed, so tell me later. If I'm going to get rejected, I don't want to get rejected after I kissed you."

I couldn't help but laugh. This girl got guts.

"Fine," I said before calling Namjoon and picking a place to meet up.
