"Can you sleep here again tonight?" Mei asked, holding her pillow tightly as she gazed up at me.

"Yeah," I replied before turning the lights off and crawling up next to her.

"Jin," she mumbled. I felt her presence close to me, and I somehow wanted to cuddle her, hug her in my arms.

"Hm?"

"I don't want you to rewind anymore." She mumbled softly. "Seeing you bleeding and getting hurt kills me. I remember seeing you struggling on the floor at the flower shop. You were bleeding too... Did you rewind back that time?"

I nodded.

"Why didn't you rewind back when Jimin died? Or when my mom died?" She asked, my heart suddenly felt tugged. I didn't want to tell her that if I saved them, she would've died. She'll blame herself.

"Because," I began. "My rewinding powers weren't as strong until we went to the flower shop. I needed a reason to be able rewind."

"My mom and Jimin were reasons to rewind back, weren't they?"

"It was already too late," I lied, feeling the guilt rise up. "Can we finish talking about this tomorrow? I'm kinda sleepy."

"Y-yeah," she agreed. I turned away, and closed my eyes. Lying to her didn't make me feel great at all.

"Okay, so, do you think that if we go back to the cafe, we would be able to catch the guy? He'll come back wouldn't he?" Namjoon asked as he walked in my house.

"Why are you so interested in this?" I asked, shutting the door behind him.

"Because, we need to catch this guy before he makes his next move. We don't know what else he'll do if we don't catch him soon enough."

"We aren't cops, Namjoon." I stated. "Besides, if he does anything, I'll just rewind."

"Rewinding hurts you though, it won't always work." He replied, squinting at me. "Let's just do as I say, alright? If we don't see him there, then he probably gave up on Mei."

"How can you be so sure?" I asked, raising a brow as I crossed my arms.

"I'm not sure, I'm just guessing," He said, smirking. "My brain is useful."

"Yeah, whatever you say." I groaned, looking around.

"Do you have anymore bananas?" Mei asked, walking out of the bathroom.

I shook my head.

"Awww," she frowned. "Can we go buy some? They're my favorite."

I nodded. "Yeah, sure," I said and she grinned widely, running across the hall to put on her shoes.

"How long are you going to babysit her for?" Namjoon asked as we walked over to her.

"Forever," I smiled, probably saying it a bit too loud which made Mei's eyes light up.

"You're taking care of me forever?" She grinned, biting her bottom lip, her cheeks turning pink.

I slightly laughed just gazing at her for awhile, until Namjoon punched my shoulder. "Wake up, lovebirds," he cringed before walking out of the house.

"Lovebirds?" Mei blushed before following him out the door. I chuckled to myself before locking the door behind me.

I got into the drivers seat and drove to a nearby grocery store. When we got there, Mei got out first and I looked at Namjoon. "Stay here," I said, emotionless.

"What? Why??" He asked, taken aback.

"Stop sticking around Mei," I squinted at him. "Keep an eye out for denim jacket."

I smirked before getting out of the car. "Uh, where's Nam-",

"He's not coming," I said quickly before taking her hand and intertwining our fingers.

She looked at our hands before looking up at me, her eyes widening. "What? Aren't we a couple now?" I asked, confused as to why she was looking at me like that.

"We are?" She asked, her eyes getting wider and her smile growing. "So you're saying you like me back?"

I nodded, grinning back at her. She suddenly cupped my face, pulled me down to her height and gave me a soft peck on the lips. She quickly pulled away and my mouth opened agape.

"M-Mei," I stammered. "Stop catching me by surprise like that. I should be the one to catch you off guard, I'm the guy in this relationship!"

She laughed, intertwining our fingers back together before making our way into the store.

"Do you know how to make banana bread?" She asked as we walked down the aisle. I shrugged.

"Never tried," I answered, grabbing a pack and putting it in the cart.

"We should try it tonight!" She grinned with excitement. I raised an eyebrow.

"Well, if you want," I said, before noticing a familiar guy walking around the aisle. We made eye contact and he quickly looked around.

We continued walking, but whenever I looked behind me, he would still be behind us, but is apparently looking at stuff on the shelves.

"Pretty boy?" Mei asked, making me shift my gaze towards her. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," I said, trying to shake it off. He wasn't wearing a denim jacket, and I wasn't able to see his face well before, so I wasn't sure if it was him or not.

"We should hurry and go," I said, trying to pick up my pace.

"Wh-",

"Don't ask why, Mei. Just listen to me, okay?" I said walking to the cashier. After getting our stuff bagged, I held onto her hand tightly before looking around for the guy.

"Why are you acting like this? Did you see Denim Jacket?" She asked, looking at me. I nodded.

"I think that's him," I said, as we quickly walked to the car.

"Damn, took you both long enough just to buy freaking bana-",

"I told you to watch for Denim Jacket!" I said, my heart beginning to race. "He was in the store following us!"

He shut his mouth, and cleared his throat, his face clearly surprised by my outbreak. "I-I didn't see anyone with a denim jacket on!"

I sighed with frustration, running your hand down my face. I looked at the side mirror, breathing a sigh of relief when I didn't see him.

"I don't think he'll let us go," I said, turning the engine on. "I think he'll follow us for sure."

"Denim guy?" Mei said, her voice trembling. I looked behind me, surprised to see her covering her face in her arms.

"Mei?" I asked as I furrowed my brows.

"Why does this happen to me everyday? Like my life's a joke or something!? There has not been a normal day in my life after my mom died. It's like... like I was supposed to die instead of my mom!" She cried, raking her hand through her hair.

I looked at Namjoon. "She's having a mental breakdown, I'll take care of her, just keep driving." He said, getting out of the passenger seat and to the back.

I bit my bottom lip, my heart quivering as I glanced at her in the rear view mirror. She's really suffering inside.

I drove out of the parking lot, and looked at the side mirror to find a small black car behind us. Better not be him.

I turned a corner and it followed. I felt my heartbeat increase as it followed me every time I turned a corner. Could it be more specific? Fuck.

"He's following us," I groaned, looking at the rear view mirror. "Let me send him straight to the police station."
