What the Fuck? (Ch 6)

Dilly's POV

My phone goes off. I jumped out of my sleep and I answered it. "Hello!" The person yelled. I sat up. "May I help you?" I asked. "It's your brother, Zayden!" The person says; voice cracking. "What about Zayden?" I asked looking around for JJ. The room was dark, I must have been asleep for a while. JJ must still be cooking. I thought. "He's been hurt in a wreck. He's hurt badly. He's being rushed to the hospital right now." The person says. "What about my mom?" I asked crying into the phone. "Well, she's... Um.... She's in critical condition. They don't think she's gonna make it. But we're praying for the best right now." The person said. "Oh my Lanta!" I said. I start crying. JJ must have heard me because he came bursting into the room. "what's going on?" He asked, walking over to my trembling body. "Babe, what's wrong? Talk to me please." He asked with a look of concern on his face. I was stuttering. "My brother and m...my mom. They-" I paused. "They were in a wreck." A burst of tears fell down my face. JJ just stared at me. "They were in a wreck?" He asked. His face in disbelief. "Yeah, they're being rushed to the hospital right now." I said crying.

JJ's POV

What the fuck? His mom and little brother were in a wreck? We need to get to the hospital right now! I thought to myself..

"Come on!" I said picking him up. "wh.... Where are we going" He asked. "To the hospital. That's where they're gonna be." I said helping him get dressed. I grabbed my phone and texted Nate.

To Nate:

Hey, dinner's done if y'all are ready to come home; help yourself to as much as you want. I made enough to feed an army. But me and Dilly are heading to the hospital. Like right now.

Nate's POV

So Kris and I have been driving around downtown and went shopping a little. We were about to enter Earthbound to get some of these cool plugs for Dilly to wear; when my phone vibrated. "Who's that, Nate?" Kris asked. I looked at my phone, it showed JJ. "It's from JJ." I replied. "What does it say?" She asked. "He said that dinner's ready if we're ready to come home. We can have as much as we want; there's enough to feed an army. Also, they're heading to the hospital right now." I said as I read her the message.. "What? Why are they heading to the hospital? We just need to go to the hospital right now!" She says. "We can when we get the plugs for Dilly. He cooked us dinner and all." I said.

I went to pay for the plugs while Kris waited in the car. I came out of the store quickly and started the car. "Come on! Hurry up!" Kris says. "I'm trying to, Kris, I'm not trying to get pulled over." I say. She sat back in her seat and sighed. We got to the hospital and Kris pointed out JJ's car. "There's his car!" She says and I pull into the space next to his car. I grab the Earthbound bag but then put it back. It's not the right moment right now. I thought. I pulled out my phone and texted JJ.

To JJ:

Hey, we're at the hospital. What room are y'all in?

JJ's POV

Dilly and I were sitting in the waiting room. Dilly's still balling his eyes out and I wouldn't blame him. I would be too. Do I feel bad? Yes, I am just in shock about this. My phone goes off. It reads Nate.

From Nate:

Hey, we're at the hospital. What room are y'all in?

To Nate:

We're in the waiting room.

From Nate:

Okay, we'll be there in a few seconds.
