C:14 ex-Fiance and And tantrums

It had been two weeks, two days since Alexander took my father's challenge, to say I was surprised that we were getting along okay would be and understatement, he would laugh here and there although his smile still did not reach his eyes. He also has been keeping up well with this royal life thing, and honestly I was sadden by the fact that he was leaving in a few days, Adeline has been keeping to herself ever since the Duncan incident, I swear if I see that son of a duck, I'm going to put aside my princess shoes and kick his ass, father and mother are still away and have no idea  about what is going on with Ade.

Today I had just finished yet another interview, but this time I was alone, "Please take us to an ice cream shop, I'm craving some,it has been a long day, Fiona do me a favour rescheduled all my meetings for the day, and call Alexander over." I ordered, Fiona gave me that blinding smile." Don't even commented on it or I will pull out your hair one by one." I told her instead and she laughed.

It was exactly 14:00 when I sat down on the ice cream shop, the men in black that I could never get used to but was forced to tolerate stood by at every corner with an opening. " Look Vee, I need to take care of something.  so see you in a while. I called your fiance and he will be here anytime." Fiona said standing .

"Ok, have a scoop of the man in black will you." I told her smilling to which she laughed at that and walked out followed by 3 men. I ordered vanilla minted ice cream, which came in a huge bowl. My taste buds were excited at the site, so much so that when someone sat down I did not even look up." Grey you have to try...." I stopped the spoon midway when I looked in the slightly green eyes of that one person. He must have hated me so much after all I have done. To my surprised he smiled softly at me." We meet again Princess."

"Ex-fiancè?" I breathed, only to realize what I had said and quickly looked at him to find him laughing out loud." Although it isn't the ideal name, I'll take it. My name is Benjamin Mill, son of Terry mill." He told me with that smile on his face, I looked at him for a moment trying to figure out whether he was being genuine or possibly cooking up a revengefull plan. I only stopped when he laughed again." I promise, I haven't thought of any of those" he told me and i realized that I said it out loud.

"You are really not Angry about the whole' leaving You for another guy' fiasco?"I asked eying him, he scratched the back of his head shyly before he nervously gave out a laugh. "I was kind of glad when you cancelled it." He told me,in any circumstances a woman would feel insulated that someone said that to her, but I was relieved. "Well that's good."

"Besides, I couldn't hold a candle against that guy, this coming from a guy, man your fiancè is hot, is that his real hair?" I smiled at Ben, I bet a lot of people did wonder whether it was his hair or he had dyed it, as for the comment about him being hot, I blushed. ......wait ...wait I did what?.... the though of him, oh how I wished to see those hard rock ab. ...... " Earth to you, I see missing him already," he smiled that charming smile that would have any girl falling for him, and what did I do??? I continued to think of his face, his grey hair ....argh!! Grey was invading my space too much.

"Enough about me, Lets hear about you, what have you been up to my runaway groom?" I asked smiling at him, Ben was such a sweet guy, he smiled a lot too, but I wouldn't trade that grey mood for anything else." Not much really. " he said eating his ice cream. "Any potential replacement of me?" I asked jokingly, but the reaction he gave me made me listen attentively, he choked on his cream before his face brighten up. " tell me,who is she?"I smiled bringing my face close to his,he stop choking but smiled, he looked so embarrassed right now." Well.....I.......I....kind of....liked your. ......your .....your sister."

When he mentioned Adeline my heart broke into million pieces, poor Ade, she was still hurt by that duck face Duncan, I'm sure my face was visible with anger because Ben stutter a little while calling me." Princess...I...I...really sorry if I offended you in anyway." He reached for my hand and grabbed it, I stayed silent for a moment before I sent a smile towards him and put my hand on top of his.

"It's nothing like that. Actually I'm happy you like Ade, I fear she might need company after she broke her engagement " I told him softly while I smiled at him."the engagement is off?" He asked puzzle, I could see it in his eyes that he was both relieve and concerned. "Is she alright?" He asked me looking at if he was told he isn't getting a candy."she is in one piece I guess but emotionally she is scared for life. anyway seing that you like my sister, how about you come to the palace tomorrow." He grinned at me like i just gave him the world. " I will be there." I smiled before checking my wrist watch.

"Are you expecting someone? " he had asked nicely, Damn the guy was good looking,vbut my annoying voice of reason kept telling me I had better to look at  untrustworthy conscious ." Grey should have been here by now." I explained and he looked even more confused, that's when it hit me that I was the only one who called him that." I mean the fiancè." As if a light bulb went on in his head, his face brightened up." I shall be taking my leave now, see you tomorrow." With that said i walked out of the ice cream shop and headed home.

I wandered why Alex had not pitched, Did Fiona not call him?. The first thing I did was to march all the way to my chambers on the way I bumped to Adeline who looked at me with sorrow on her eyes and a small smile. "Vee....!"she called me .I stood still, after all these years she was addressing me like a real your sister.
"Thank you so much." I just nodded at my sister and power walked to my chambers.
"Grey!" I called out but there was no answer."Alexander!"I called again and still no answer was head. I walked out to security. "Have anyone see Alexander Taylor, around?"

"Mr Taylor left princess "he said calmly. My heartbeat  increase."what do you mean by left?"I asked getting irritated."he come home angry, packed all his belonging and asked me to take him to the airport, there he bought a ticket to Capetown." The moment he had mentioned those words  time froze and I was in a daze, I had become fond of Alex but now he was gone!. I dont even remember feeling the pain as my knees came to contact with the ground as I stood there speechless. I couldn't cry, I was simple numb.
