Remus Lupin stared at the little bundle in his arms with sorrow. How could Sirius do this? How had he managed to fool them all, this whole time? He had killed innocent Muggles and Wormtail but oh, that was not the only thing that ailed Remus. It was his betraying James, Lily and their poor Harry. Clearly he had not known his best friend as well as he had thought. He looked at the little girl sleeping peacefully. Just like Harry she had no mother and her father was as good as dead. Her godfather James, was dead as well. Remus knew she was his responsibility now. He knew nothing about being a parent, but she clearly needed him. Despite all of Sirius' faults, he had loved his little girl. So he took her out of Sirius' house, to raise her as his own. After this war, she would be his Hope.
