I loved being back at school. There were those who still shunned me because of my father's history but I no longer cared. I had my friends and that was all that mattered.
"So Miley, how fast does that chair go?" George asked me at breakfast. I frowned.
"Only 10mph but I was thinking of changing it you know to a more 'sensible' speed like 50mph." I said.
"You can do that?"asked Fred impressed.
"Of course I can." I stated.
During our Care of Magical creatures lesson, Hagrid was a mess. While Harry, Ron and Hermione went to talk to him I went to Draco. He was with Parkinson."Hey Parkinson, you glad to see me?" I asked pleasantly.
"Yeah, the same way I would be to see a dead slug." she snapped.
"Shame. I had missed my favourite pug. I'm talking about you, in case you don't get it." I told her and she stalked off. Draco stared me down,
"Come to hex me again? Or to gloat-" he started.
"No. I came to say I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that to you." I said.
His upper lip curved, "I was lying there, immobilised when the fire started. I couldn't help you no matter how much I wanted to. I thought you died in there while I watched the fire burn away helplessly." he shouted. Wow! I never knew that he cared so much about me. Impulsively I hugged him and he was too shocked to resist but I promptly let go.
"Thank you Draco. This means a lot."

I left the lesson early because I needed to talk to Flitwick and find out how much I had missed. I saw Ginny passing on the other side and would have called her if someone hadn't said "Camilla!" I turned to see Zabini moving toward me. I swerved my chair and looked at him.
"So, how are you feeling?" he asked and I shrugged.
"Much better, thanks for asking." I said.
"I saw your article, you looked really beautiful." I swear I grew redder than a tomato. "Not that you don't always look good. You do. After all you are our Venus." I tried to cover my blush with a laugh but it came out as a giggle.
"Thanks Zabini, but I know I looked terrible with those burns." I said.
"No. You never look terrible. Oh and I'm glad you made up with your friends but does it mean you won't get to spend time with me? I mean um, us the Slytherins." He said hastily. After assuring him that I would not abandon them, I went to charms. Thank goodness all I had missed a bunch of easy stuff. I was already in a good mood with the Cheering charm, I was laughing too hard when I left the class. I immediately flew to North tower at 10mph awesome speed.
Professor Trelawney hugged me and cried." Oh dear I saw you walking the land of the dead, I was worried. You missed Palmistry but not to worry, I am sure you will ace crystal balls. "
When the lesson started, I sat with Hermione although I knew that she would be leaving soon. I stared into my crystal ball and saw a man coming closer to me. It was my dad but then Harry and Ron started laughing. Trelawney came over and gazed at Harry's crystal ball.
"It is here plainer than before my dear stalking toward you the Gr-" she started.
"Oh for goodness sake not that ridiculous Grim again!" said Hermione. Trouble was unfolding right before our eyes. I watched as Trelawney teared her down.
"I don't remember meeting a student whose mind was so hopelessly mundane." she said and on that happy note, Hermione gave up Divination.
That night Ginny told me something interesting. "Malfoy punched Harry at your funeral. He said it was his fault that you had died." Okay that was weird. "I saw you with Zabini today. I think he likes you." she said.
I was stunned."No, we are just friends." I said to her.
"You also like him a little I think. You were blushing like crazy!" she pointed out. I blushed again.
"Do you really think he likes me?"

By the Easter holidays I had managed to catch up with all my subjects, much to my teachers' delight and Snape's disappointment. The Quidditch final was fast approaching and the rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin was at the peak.
The night before the match I went to visit my uncle. We spoke for a little while before he said,
"Oh, I still have your locket. Do you want it?" he asked. Of course I did. I stared at the picture inside
"There is still hope for him uncle Remus right?" I whispered.
"Do not waste your breath Miles. The man in that picture is gone."
"You really think your best friend is gone? So, if you found him you would hand him over to the dementors? I don't know if I would." I said quietly.
"Your hope will destroy you Miley." said my uncle shaking his head.
"My hope saved my life." I said before leaving.

The Quidditch match was brutal. Marcus Flint crashed into Angelina and Fred smacked him with bat. Awesomely entertaining. Montague grabbed Katie's head. I rolled over with laughter in my chair, to think that I had thought Quidditch was boring. Bole, a Slytherin beater, hit Alicia with his bat. He claimed that he had thought that she was a Bludger. Seriously? George elbowed him in retaliation. I felt as though I was watching a wrestling match as Draco grabbed Harry's broom to keep him from getting the Snitch. They both flew toward the Snitch but Harry caught it first.
Gryffindor had won the Quidditch cup. What a party we would have tonight.
