After I finish crying the happiest tears I've ever shed, Scott says, "Do you wanna go home or try to find another restaurant?"
"It's up to you." I say, unable to wipe the grin off my face. I stare at the ring for a millisecond before bringing my gaze back up to his. After a lot of contemplation, we eventually decide to go home and watch a Spongebob marathon with Wyatt. Halfway through the seventh episode, I gasp and turn on Scott's lap.
"What is it, baby?" he asks, reaching up to push at a stray strand of my hair. A new grin spreads across my face, causing him to smile, too. "What?"
"Can we take some post-engagement selfies?" I bite my lip and lean into his chest.
"Sure." I reach for my phone and groan when I have to move away from Scott to get it. He makes grabby hands at me when I cross the room and I say, "Hold on, I'll be right back." I skip into the kitchen where my phone is blowing up. What seems like a thousand messages are showing up continuously, mostly from Kirstie, but a few from Alex and Dominic mixed in. I ignore the messages and sprint back into the living room, where Scott is waiting for me.
"I missed you."
"I missed you too." I settle back in on his lap and take about four million selfies, half of which I send to Kirstie. After I'm done sending her the pictures, I toss my phone back down to the other end of the couch and drag a blanket up from its place in a heap at Scott's feet. Wyatt is still sitting on the armrest next to him. When the Spongebob episode ends, I beg to turn on the Pilot. About ten minutes in, I have stopped noticing Scott's light laughter sending hearty vibrations through me and I turn to look at him. His eyes are shut and his head falling slightly against his shoulder. "You're so cute." I whisper, moving away gently. I tiptoe-run up the stairs to grab a pillow and another blanket and then tiptoe-run back down. He is now slumped on his side. I slip the pillow under his head, somehow without waking him up, and lay down with him. A few seconds later I have the other blanket draped over us, and he wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me closer into his chest.
"Goodnight, baby. I love you." He mutters quietly into my neck. I giggle a little and flip over so I can see him.
"I love you too." He presses a weak kiss to my lips and falls asleep again quickly. I follow suit, and soon we are both sound asleep, wrapped up in the feeling of being together.
One of the shortest updates I've ever done in my life, but I haven't updated in a week so I figured it was good enough (hopefully. please don't come for me ily). I'll probably have other updates later
