It is noon, and Scott is still asleep in our room. When I got out of bed, he woke up and tried to come with me, but I convinced him to at least try to get some more rest. So, after making breakfast for myself and cleaning the entire first floor, I call Jake.

"Hey." he says. I can hear the smile in his voice.

"What are so you happy about?"

"Nothing in particular. Hang on, one sec. I'm putting you on FaceTime." I pull the phone back and wait for Jake's face to replace the icons. When he shows up, is see the predicted grin and raise one eyebrow. "What?"

"You're not smiling like that for no reason. Wait, where are you?" I see an oddly familiar room behind him.

"Some hotel. I don't know. Travis found it and we're all staying here until your wedding."

"Who are you rooming with?"

"Alex." I fight a grin.

"Do you two happen to be sharing a bed?"

"Um..." he hesitates, glancing somewhere I can't see. "No."

"Wow, you guys are both the worst liars."

"We didn't share a bed."

"Prove it."

"How?"

"Show me the other bed." He releases a long exhale before reluctantly flipping the camera to reveal the perfectly made other bed. "Thought so." At that moment, I hear a loud crash come from what I guess is the bathroom, followed by Alex's voice yelling, "Ow! Fuck!" The phone falls and I hear Jake yell, "Babe, are you okay?" And even though I know that Alex might be hurt, I smile, because Jake just called him 'babe'. After about ten minutes of waiting for Jake to come back, I am about to hang up when their mingled voices emerge again.

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure? I don't want to let go and have you collapse, because I can't get you up again."

"I'm fine." Alex repeats. A second later, I hear him hiss in pain. "Yeah, maybe don't let go just yet." There is another short silence, and I hear Jake mutter, quietly, "I love you so much."

"I love you too."

"I can't wait for Mitch and Scott's wedding." Jake says, suddenly excited. I realize that they don't know I'm still on the phone.

"I can't wait for ours." That's when I hang up.

"Scott!" I scream at the top of my lungs, tearing through the house to get to our bedroom. I nearly plow him over when he comes running down the hall at the sound of my shout.

"What? What?" He stops me with outstretched arms and falters at the grin on my face. "What?" he repeats.

"Jake and Alex are dating." I practically sing, bouncing excitedly. He stares blankly at me.

"Uh huh."

"Wait, did you already know that?"

"No. I'm tired. I thought you were hurt. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry, I just got really excited. You should go back to sleep."

"You should come with me." He wraps one arm lazily around my waist, but I shake him off.

"I can't go back to sleep. I'm not tired."

"Will you at least lay with me? Please?" I open my mouth to answer when my phone rings from the living room.

"Let me check my phone. I don't know if I'm gonna come back or not, so go back to bed and I might join you."

"Okay." He saunters back toward the open bedroom door and I go in the opposite direction.
