Chapter 9
*Liam's POV*
"Right. Sorry again, Paul. And everyone else!" I called out to the rest of the library, which seemed to be at its most quiet because of our argument. "We'll be on our way out now."
I blushed from embarassment and started walking out the doors, Louis and Niall following right behind me.
"I can't believe I just did that," I said as soon as we were outside.
"Did what? The aplogizing or the screaming? Cuz it's not like we haven't see you do either before," Louis said, sounding bored now.
"But I just started breaking down in front of everyone in the library! That's the worst I've ever been," I said, pacing outside the doors. "I just embarassed myself at my own job! How could they not fire me?"
"Li-Li, just relax, okay? They're not firing you. And I'm sure your little break down in there will be forgotten tomorrow," Niall said, patting my shoulder once he stopped me from pacing.
"'Little break down'? How was that a little break down?! I freaked out and started screaming like a maniac! What the heck is wrong with me?" I argued.
"Nothing. So what if you did that? It wasn't the worst thing ever," Harry surprisingly spoke up, smiling at me. I wonder why? Does he want something from me by being nice? Ugh. He's so confusing.
"Why are you two still here?" Louis asked harshly, pulling me behind him and Niall. "I thought we made it clear to stay away from Liam."
"Not exactly," Harry countered just as harshly and taking a step closer to them. "I still want that date with Liam tonight."
"Well, too bad. You're not getting it, remember? He already has a date tonight," Niall spat out.
I groaned and pulled Louis and Niall back from Harry. Zayn also pulled Harry back. "Guys, can we just drop this? I already said 'no' to you, Harry, so just please stop asking," I said tiredly.
"Then just say 'yes' and cancel your date with Tom," Harry said.
That shocked me. He still wanted a date with me? What is he really trying with me? Why does he keep trying? "Harry - " I started to say, but got pulled away from Louis.
"Not gonna happen, Styles. Just get over it," Louis said as he and Niall pulled Liam away.
"Wait! Guys, that was rude," I argued, trying to pull away from them.
"Liam, stop fighting. This isn't freaking 'Romeo and Juliet'. You and Harry are not meant to be together," Louis said in frustration.
"I never even said anything about me and Harry being meant to be together!" I said back in disbelief. I mean, really? Where was that "Romeo and Juliet" crap coming from?
"But you were going to," Niall said.
"No, I wasn't!" I exclaimed. "Seriously! Where are you guys getting this from?"
"You just defended him!" Louis retorted.
I sighed in defeat when we reached my room and I unlocked the door. "I wasn't defending him. I just said it was rude to just walk away like that."
"Mhm...That's why you defended him," Louis said, rolling his eyes. "It has nothing to do with the fact that he's got you hooked like a drug addict."
"Drug addict?!" I repeated in disbelief.
"I never said you were a drug addict. I just said you're acting like one. You know, an analogy?" he said, quirking an eyebrow up at him.
I blinked and shook my head at him. "I know what an anology is. I just...Why compare me to a drug addict?"
