When I first heard about the idea of moving to Melbourne in Australia I was completely against it! How could I live without my friends and family? and my dad!?

My mum and dad split when I was 11 it was a tough time for me but I guess it was the best thing to do. Im 15 now and I occasionally go and visit my dad and his girlfriend in London, its such a beautiful place..the thought of leaving my dad turned me inside out.

My mum said she wanted to leave Manchester because of problems.

"what problems? " I muttered

she ignored me and carried on packing. I guess they were private issues.

"so were definitely mov-"

she cut me off.

"yes Samantha!"

I put my head in my hands and weaped. I called my best friend Atlanta and confirmed we was moving. She was silent. I heard a snigger. She was crying. I couldn't listen to my best friend in pain.

"I love you Atlanta, never forget me"i said waiting for a reply.

Unfortunately we were leaving tomorrow.

"I love you to Samantha, I won't forget you. boy boys boys"

The both of us shared this inside joke since year8.

So it was the day I left for Australia. I gave my best friend a huge hug and said

"I will miss you raisin"

she chuckled,another inside joke.

"time to go my" my mum shouted from the taxi where my dad was sat.

I waved good bye to Atlanta through the glass. Tears streamed from my eyes. I turned around and sat in silence until we arived at Manchester airport.

My dad gave me a huge hug.I seen tears fall from his eyes, I'd never seen him cry. It broke my heart, I was already crying, tears added. I was suddenly pulled away by my mum hinting it was time to go.

"I love you princess"i heard my dad shout.

"I love you to daddy"
