~Chapter 5~

-Ashley's POV-

*knock knock* I heard someone knocking on the door. "Coming!" I yelled. I glared at the clock and saw it was only 6:45. Maybe Cameron came early? Or maybe he said 6:45 but I forgot? I slid on some earrings and ran to the door. I put on a huge smile and swung the door open. I looked around and no one was there. I looked down and saw a letter with my name on it. I picked it up and closed the door. As I was about to open it, I heard another knock at the door. I set down the letter and ran to the door. I opened it and low and behold, Cameron Boyce was standing there in a flannel shirt and black skinny jeans. He hid his face behind a bouquet of flowers. I couldn't help but blush at his pure adorableness.

-Cameron's POV-

I stood in the hallway waiting anxiously for her to open the door. What if I got the wrong room number? What if she thinks the flowers are too cheesy? Ugh I'm an absolute idiot. The door flew open and standing there was an absolute angel. Her hair was in a messy bun, and she wore natural makeup which was a refreshing change in contrast to all the women walking around downstairs in heavy makeup. She wore a batman tee, red skinny jeans and a pair of black vans. I stared down at her (she was only like 5'4 and I was now 5'8 from my recent growth spurt) and she blushed up at me. I held the flowers out to her. She took them and thanked me in a shy, angelic voice. She walked into her room and put them down on a table. She came back to the door and smiled at me. "Shall we?" she asked. I smiled and led her down the hall to the elevator.

This being my first date, I literally had no idea what to do. I googled a bunch of stuff before hand, because I wanted this to go good. Like, really good, so she'd wanna do it again sometime. I led her out of the hotel and down the street. We walked down the street, intercepting stares and dirty looks. We talked about anything and everything. She told me about her life and I told her about mine. We came back to the hotel and she looked a little disappointed. But I'm not a complete idiot. If you're going to take a lady out at 7 in the afternoon, you better buy her dinner.

We entered the hotel and I led her through the lobby to the stairwell. She looked at me funny as if wondering what I was planning. "Trust me." I said. She shrugged her shoulders and started walking up the stairs. I started chasing her and she yelled and laughed as we ran up the stairs. We came to a door and I knew this was my moment. I opened it and the wind immediately hit our faces. I took her hand in mine. She looked down at our intwined hands and smiled a huge smile. I giggled and led her out onto the roof of the hotel. She ran to the edge and looked at the city. She closed her eyes and let the wind hit her face. She looked so beautiful with her hair blowing in the wind. I couldn't help but smile as I stared at her. I was tempted to put my hands on her waist for a titanic moment, but I resisted. I didn't wanna be creepy on our first date. It was as friends anyway. When her eyes opened, she saw me staring at her. She dropped her head and her face turned red. "Sorry," she said looking at the ground, "I've just always wanted to do that." I didn't know how to respond, she thought she looked stupid, but in reality she looked gorgeous. "Come with me." I said taking her hand. She followed me, looking around her like she was in a dream. I've got to admit, even on the run down, unkept, roof, the view was amazing. And I guess the city looked good too.

I led Ashley to a dinner for two I had my buddy Spencer set up while we walked around the city. I pulled out her chair for her and she sat down thanking me. We ate hamburgers and french fries. Hey, I never said I was classy. When we finished we sat on the roof and talked for hours. When it came midnight, I took her home and said goodbye. She thanked me and gave me a sweet kiss on the cheek before disappearing into her room. I smiled and went to my room. That night, as I lay in bed trying to fall asleep, she was all that was on my mind.
