A/N: Sorry this took so long, but unfortunately I need school so... :)

(With Lukas)

Lukas' heart ached when Jesse disappeared up the stairs. He mentally kicked himself for not telling her how he felt.
It never occurred to him it was a possibility that they still could lose this fight. But Lukas was almost certain that Jesse could do this. He had complete faith in her.
Still, it was hard letting her go and fight this guy alone.
"Lukas!" Petra snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Sorry," Lukas muttered, shaking his head. "Let's go find those children."
The place was like a maze. Every turn and every room they wandered into looked exactly the same. It took a while before they finally found the stairs that lead down underground. As they descended the walls turned to obsidian, and the place transformed into a prison hold. Their footsteps echoed off the walls. The hall they were walking through had lava flowing on the edges. Lukas wouldn't be surprised if there was a mob or two down here.
"Wait," Petra paused and glanced around. A few empty cells were on the right side of the hall, but that was it. Lukas didn't see anything important. "Do you hear that?"
They stepped into an open cell, listening hard. Suddenly, there was a screech, and a flapping noise. Lukas yelped when he suddenly couldn't see, and swiped his face to try and get it off.
     "What is it?!" Petra cried.
The bat flew off his face.
     Lukas grumbled. "Stupid bat."
Petra tried to hide her disappointment, but she didn't do it very well.
"There it is again!" Petra said, kneeling down next to the wall where the sound was coming from. Lukas tried to listen too. He could hear it now. The faint cries for help.
"They are definitely here," Lukas knocked on the obsidian. "But how do we get to them?"
Petra's eyes widened when she spotted a single hole in the wall that went one block deeper than the rest of the wall. She pointed there. "It's almost the perfect spot for a lever!" She said. She fished one out of her inventory, and Lukas raised an eyebrow.
      "What?" She shrugged.
"You just carry around levers in your inventory?"
"Hey, don't judge me. Levers are helpful. I seem to recall us needing to make a lot of them before I started thinking about bringing some."
"Alright, alright," Lukas surrendered. Petra placed the lever on the wall and flicked it down. Immediately, the obsidian walls opened up a staircase leading down, walls lined with red stone torches. Petra grinned proudly at herself.
"Down we go," Lukas said, and the two trudged down the stairs.
Petra seemed to sense Lukas' inner struggle. "What's up, Lukas?"
Lukas sighed in frustration. "I lost my chance Petra. I don't understand why I can't just tell her! Every time I try, I get nervous and chicken out."
"Don't worry," Petra said. "You two have gotten closer. As far as I can tell, Jesse's crazy about you too."
Lukas' heart skipped a beat from happiness. "Really?"
"Really."
The small whimpers of the children filled their ears as Petra and Lukas found them in the small room. They were huddled in a corner, shivering. They sniffed, noses runny from crying.
"Don't worry, kids," Lukas said. "We're here to get you out."
"It's Petra from the Order, and the Order's friend Lukas," One kid mumbled to her friend in awe.
"Everyone, stay close to us and follow Lukas," Petra instructed, getting to the back of the group. She tried to help a kid up, but he simply stomped on her foot and rushed closer to Lukas. "Ow," Petra hissed. "Why?"
"Guess you don't have a soft spot for children," Lukas said with a smirk as the kids crawled to their feet and crept close together.
"What was your first clue?" Petra asked with a glare, her arms folded.
Lukas and Petra lead the children up the stairs. As they were halfway up, the whole building suddenly shook, and the children nearly tumbled over. Petra and Lukas held their ground, glancing upwards. The children yelled in fright, covering their heads with their arms. Then, the shaking stopped.
"W-what was that?" A kid cried.
Petra and Lukas shared knowing looks.
The battle had begun, and someone had just struck the first blow.
