~Caroline~

I just about had a fucking heart attack when Sir and I stepped into the elevator.  I was not expecting the handsome blonde haired man to be occupying the cart. I had prayed that he wouldn't say a damn word...Sir had looked extremely uncomfortable, not mad or displeased. The entire time he had asked me about the man his eyebrows were drawn deep.

He had nothing to worry about...not on my end anyway. Yes, the other complexes patron was devishly handsome but I was devoted to Sir, mind body and soul. He had my heart in his grasp and I never wanted him to let it go. Ever.

The day had been rather boring. I sat at the tiny meeting table in Sol's office most of the day, typing a paper for school while he attended meetings and conference calls. None of it really made any sense to me which is why he didn't tell me about his work unless I asked. When six PM rolled around, Sir told me to go ahead and go home because he would be a few hours.

When I reached the condo, I kicked out of my heels and started a movie. I was starving but I wanted to wait for Sol to eat...mainly because he hated eating alone. I thought about calling Olivia or watching porn in the study. Sir didn't mind that, I just couldn't touch myself. Or cum, so there was no point. No laundry, no dishes.

I searched our pantry a thousand times trying to find at least a little snack but nothing looked appealing. Finally, when eight-thirty came and no sign of Sir I decided to have a hot bath and a glass of wine. After the temperature was perfect and the large oval tub was full I stripped out of my clothes. Just as I had gotten a foot in the steamy water the bell sounded.

Who in hell could that be? I quickly slid my short, thin, black robe on and hurried from the bathroom to answer the door. Olivia? Maybe even Sol's mom but I did not expect elevator guy to be standing on the other side. He was wearing a suit apposed to the casual attire he had worn the first two times we had crossed paths. He was so tall and his dark blue eyes looked right into my soul as he stood there, smiling.

"Um...Um, can I help you?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. There could be no good reason why this man was at the front door.

"Maybe...you wouldn't happen to have a cup of sugar would you? Perhaps a couple...eggs?" He asked with a crooked grin and a wicked glint in his eyes. I frowned, thinking, 'Can afford a fucking condo but no eggs and sugar'. I was almost positive this was going to get me into trouble.

But I was not raised to be rude by no means. "Sure. Come in." I finally said after several moments of an awkward silence, on his ends, no doubt. "Keep the door open." I added and turned around. I descended the three steps and crossed the family room to this kitchen.

"I'm Xander. If you were wondering." He was the first to speak as I grabbed a tupawear container from the cabinet. 'No, I was not wondering and you shouldn't be in my home.'

"Caroline." I simply replied as I grabbed the sugar and twisted the lid off. I could feel his eyes on me as I was not facing him.

"Beautiful name. And if I was going to kill you or something, I wouldn't have knocked on your door." Xander said very nonchalantly and I shot  him a frown.

"What?"

"Nothing." There was no mistaking the humor in his voice. No other words were spoken while I finished my task, sealing  the top onto the tupawear container. "So...you live here alone?"

I turned and slid the sugar across the bar to him. I wanted to laugh, knowing damn well he knew I didn't. "With my boyfriend."

"Interesting...I'll make sure to return your container."

"Keep it." I smiled warmly at him as I opened the right side of the stainless steal fridge and grabbed two eggs. There was only a matter of time before he would reveal why he was really here. When I sat the eggs beside the sugar he just stared at me. "You didn't come here for eggs and sugar did you?" I shook my head slowly and the cute dimply grin he sported widened.
